So what I have so far with my testing with my little motor and battery pack is that the green and yellow are for the LEDs. If I hook the blue and red on the motor, and I place the + and the - on the red one and the black one, then, when the button is pressed, tge motor spins and when the button is released, it doesn't spin. I also hooked the yellow and green color wires so it lights up when pressed too.

Seems like I've got it figured out right? Except when I unpress the button and the motor stops and the lights turn off, the + and - wires become warm, hot even. I think it's shorting when it's turnes off, but I'm at a loss here, how is this supposed to be hooked up?

So I've had this battery for a while, but I've not been able to use it until today. I had repairs done onto it just before now (bc I shortcircuited it like an idiot and had to get it fixed).

Today I used it and when I got back home to charge it, it wasn't charging. The charger works just fine on the old one btw. Interestingly when I first linked it to the bike the wheel spun the opposite direction and I had to go into the settings to reverse it. Also there was no regen. And when I'm texing the guy that repaired it he's saying that the poles might not be the same. He said:

"Yes, then I can't answer that then. Then it might not be the same on the old battery as the new one. In respect to what is + and - between the poles" (sloppily translated from Norwegian)

So is the charging cable on the battery probably broken or is it the pole irregularities between the battery and the charger. Keep in mind, it's the exact same 3 pin connector, they snap together.

The brand name is "Save my battery" (ironically enough) from France.
