If anyone is considering 21" Milks for some tough enduro on a Surron Uktra Bee - just go for it. I've been abusing it for a couple of months now and they seem indestructible. They also fit perfectly - 100% plug and play.
I'm now considering purchasing the rear wheel too as the factory Surron one will be set up for flat track racing :)
Think I washed my surron too hard with the garden hose, throttle died completely, not sure if this is common or not but everything else works. If anyone has any suggestions Im open to them.
Why do people get these bikes? Not saying the they’re bad or anything just the risks like in some states where they get stolen or impounded by police and many kids ride these bikes with no knowledge of how to ride a motorcycle or dirt bike & get hurt plus the prices are a big question a used Sur-Ron sells for almost retail and sometimes more when you can get a low mileage 400cc sports bike in good condition for half the price
I’m stuck between the Light Bee 2 and the E Ride Pro SR and honestly can’t decide which one I should get. The SR has some big advantages: it’s faster, feels more stable at higher speeds, and would be closer to what I originally wanted since I was looking for a bike capable of 100+ km/h. However, I’m a little concerned about possible system-error issues, and I don’t think its resale market is as strong as Surron’s. On the other hand, the Light Bee 2 is only around 143 lbs, so it’s much lighter and, in my opinion, probably more fun. My biggest concern is that Surron made it as an entirely new bike, so we don’t really know how it will hold up long-term yet. It also tops out around 90 km/h, which is disappointing because I originally wanted something that could go over 100 km/h. So, which one do you guys think I should get?
I am about to become a Light Bee owner and as I am transferring from „big“ petrol bikes I wanted to check what you do in regards of protection?
I don’t mean safety gear, although I am stunned to see so many people without it, sometimes not wearing any helmet or using bicycle helmets!
I always had fork/frame protectors on my bike, but I don’t see them on LBX/Ultra Bees, is it not needed or does no one care about that? How are you doing it and what would you recommend?
You can hear in the video that grinding/ snapping noise, and it's like the chain is under tension and wants to go sideways off the sprocket in certain places. It's also making the bike not want to move forward, the bike slows down at this spot in the chain. I just oiled the chain a couple days ago and it seemed to help, but this problem came back quickly.Any idea why this is happening and how to fix it?
First off i’m sorry yall. I’m sure this sub gets spammed all day with my first e bike bullshit all day…
But i’m looking to get my first e bike and this Surron ultra bee popped up local to me.
Looks to be in good shape other than the obvious damage from looping. Is that damage any concern? probably won’t even fix it plan to have a lot of fun with this bike so looks ain’t really a concern. What should I look for when I go check it out.
I think I can get it for around $4100
like bro i dont gotta pop my fromt wheel shit for u idek u gng
Has anyone been successful in registering an Ultra Bee as a motorcycle and getting a plate for it? I’m in Connecticut and no one at the DMV seems to know anything about registering electric bikes even if they have taillight, blinkers, mirrors, etc. If you were able to register yours, please include the steps you took to do so! Thank you!
He did not like that at all 😂😂😂 like buddy, I don't follow your stupid club rules. He was pointing at the ground behind him telling me to stay there or something.
Little mods here and there
Recently got pirelli tires, chain guard, and tail tidy.
Hi, recently two of my controllers broke in a row and I have been trying to look for a new controller but they are just so expensive like £400-700. I was wondering is there any cheap ways I can find a controller for my talaria
How nobody had taken that yet is beyond me! Obviously I had to make the letter "O" a Zero, since they don't use the letter "O" on plates here. Stoked to receive it in the mail though! First and only person in the state with a Surron plated "SURR0N" 😆
I waited until it was accepted, plate created, and shipped out to me before posting here for obvious reasons.(be creative, there's other cool ideas out there too!)
The page is printed in black and white. But the left side background on the plate is red. Middle is white. And right side is blue. So you'll be able to see the lettering on it.
I get so many people at stoplights asking me what kind of bike it is, how much range, top speed, yada yada yada! So now all I have to tell them is "Google my license plate!"
I’m considering buying a surron ultra bee L1E from Alibaba. The listing claims it is an L1e version.
But has anyone here actually bought an Ultra Bee L1e from Alibaba and successfully registered it for road use somewhere in Europe?
I’m located in the Netherlands, so ideally I’d like to know if anyone has successfully registered one here, but experiences from other EU countries would also be very helpful.
I’m considering buying a Sur-Ron Ultra Bee next year, and I’m trying to decide what makes more sense.
On Alibaba, I could get one for around €4,300, while a local dealer charges roughly €7,500. The big advantage of buying locally is that I can register it and legally ride it on the road. If I buy from Alibaba, I wouldn’t be able to register it, meaning I’d technically be riding illegally on public roads.
The price difference is pretty huge, though. What would you guys do in this situation? Is paying the extra €3,200 for a road-legal bike worth it, or would you go with the Alibaba option?
In Germany, the new Light Bee 2 is finally coming to the market.
Do you guys think it will be possible to do proper enduro riding with it? Or will it still be more of a fun bike like the old Light Bee?
For me, one of the biggest advantages would be the battery. It only weighs around 15 kg, and I have to charge it inside my apartment because I don’t have electricity in my garage.
What do you guys think?
I first got my e-bike 2 years ago, and I have been forced to sell it due to little kids in my area being reckless. It started with me and a few of my friends riding neighborhood roads to the dirt trails and hitting some jumps and sometimes hitting some wheelies on empty roads, then cruising home. Now there are rideouts with 30+ kids, some of them looking no older than 10 years old, out on their own on 80+ kph e-bikes. I see them run stop signs, run red lights, and go over 70 in 40 zones. Now cops are all over these bikes, and no one can enjoy them. I partially blame the surronster and ignorant parents; if you have watched any of his videos, he's always running stop signs, speeding, and being all around a terrible influence for his audience of children. I've seen kids run red lights and get hit by a car, all because they see their online influencer doing it as well. I also don't get how parents are so ignorant of what they are letting these kids have. If I had a 10-year-old, there would be no chance I would send them out on a bike capable of almost highway speeds on their own. I used to ride electric scooters with my dad; I was 13, and he would never let me out on my own, ony with him.
