Park is pretty empty
This is my 8th visit to the Grand Canyon and I was really expecting it to be packed this weekend. It’s pretty deserted by July 4th standards, but I’m not going to complain.

SFA building elevators
Is there anyone from the facilities commission on here who has any idea when the contractor is going to finish the first set of elevators? They’ve been working on these things since thanksgiving and we really need some kind of relief. I was told by one of the technicians that there would be a gap between finishing one set of elevators and starting on the remaining 3, but there’s no telling how accurate that is. Working in an 11 story building with half of the elevators out of service for what’s shaping up to be well over a year is really shitty.

Drivers license office on Wells Branch
Is being a condescending prick in the job requirements to land a job as a greeter at the DPS? I had to make 2 separate trips there within the past 5 days and the employees who stand near the entrance asking people why they’ve come in are monumental assholes. I get they have to deal with people from all walks of life and that can be frustrating, but holy fuck were they rude.

DPS drivers test
Can anyone on here tell me what the DPS does if you have a scheduled drivers test and there’s a strong chance of severe weather? I have a teen who is very anxious to take his drivers test to get his license. It’s scheduled for tomorrow and there’s a strong chance of severe weather. Telling the kid to reschedule goes in one ear and right out the other. 😂
