OC Lore Wheel

Wasn't sure how to tag this lol.

ANYWAY

I made a wheel for those of us who don't always know how to give their OCs lore, or how to give them a unique personality. This wheel is pretty all encompassing, and more will be added as I think of more options. If yoy have any suggestions let me know!

Backstory for Hikari

So Hikari lived in Tokyo for most of her childhood. It was just her and her dad, as her mother died in childbirth. Her father, while he tried not to show it, blamed Hikari for her mother's death, and Hikari grew to blame herself too. This habit of self-blame is something the struggles with to this day.

When she was 10, her father died in a demon attack (unoriginal but i don't care). Hikari escaped injured but alive, as her father chose to run, leaving Hikari alone, and the demon pursued him. Hikari was found the next day by an older slayer, a woman named Sayuri Tanaka. Sayuri took her in, fed her, bandaged her injuries, and actually cared for her, unlike the detached parenting from her father. Hikari lived with Sayuri until she was 12. By then, she had made up her mind to become a slayer herself, just like the woman who saved her. Hikari also adopted Sayuri's surname, becoming Hikari Tanaka.

Originally, Hikari learned water breathing from Sayuri, but anyone could see that the breathing style wasn't really working for her. It got her through Final Selection, and Hikari assumed that was that, until her katana turned a white-silver.

She began re-training herself, leaning more toward the speed and agility based forms. As she trained herself on those moves, and her abilities grew, she attracted the attention of the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa.

Sanemi never expected that he would find himself the mentor of a brash and hyper 13 year old, but soon, the girl grew on him. She finally made the switch from water breathing to wind breathing under his tutelage, and while it still wasn't quite right, it was much better than before. Sanemi eventually grew to see her almost as a younger sister, and Hikari sees Sanemi as the older brother she never had.

When she was 15, she was using a training katana, and it broke. Seeing no extra nearby, she grabbed the nearest substitute, a long branch. The branch was nearly twice the length of the katanas, and while that would normally be a hindrance, Hikari found that she actually preferred the longer branch over the short-handled katanas.

After much nagging, she was able to convince a swordsmith to craft her first pole arm. At first, she faced ridicule from her peers for her unconventional choice of weapon, but the results spoke for themselves. Higher rates of success during missions, lower rates of injury, and she was often less exhausted after using her breathing.

However, she had to drastically alter the forms. Polearms and swords are pretty different, after all. In time, she had developed her own breathing style. She called it Light Breathing, as it required quick and agile moves, like light reflecting off of surfaces.

Armed with her breathing style and her glaive, Hikari began to rise through the ranks. Despite her normally outgoing personality and her many friends, she prefers solo missions, refusing to be accountable for another's life, so that she won't have to bear the burden should she fail to keep them safe.

Hikari chooses to wear a sleeveless top because she takes after Sanemi, in that she is proud of her battle scars. They are a sign that she not only fought, but survived to fight another day.

Her white uniform is actually reflective. When she uses her Light Breathing forms, light reflects off her uniform and can blind, stun, or disorient her opponents.

Hikari earned the rank of Hashira at age 18, 6 years after starting her journey as a slayer. Now, at age 19, she has taken on a Tsuguko of her own, the reserved 16 year old Kyoka Hanhaki (another OC of mine), a user of Storm Breathing.

Still a little bumpy, I wrote this all at 6 AM with no sleep lol. What do you guys think?

Backstory for Kyoka

Kyoka lived in a village deep in the mountains with her parents and little sister, Akiko. For a while, they were happy. The village had some odd practices and rules but Kyoka's parents, for the most part, kept their daughters shielded from the worst of it. One of these rules was that no one was allowed to leave and those who tried were punished severely.

When Kyoka was 10, tragedy struck. A wave of disease swept through the village. Many lives were lost to it, Kyoka's parents included. At a young age, she was left ad the sole caretaker of her 3 year old sister.

The village elders wanted to bring the population up as soon as possible, and so they made a decree: any female who is able to bear children must be married as soon as her first menstrual cycle starts. Kyoka had already started hers, and the elders were looking for a husband for her.

Kyoka, being 10, did not want to marry anyone. Not yet. And especially not the man the elders chose for her. He was older, arrogant and cruel. And he was one of the elders' sons. But when Kyoka raised her concerns and protests, she was told to be silent and do her duties as a woman. Her wants no longer mattered. So she made a choice.

In the dead of night, she bundled up some food in a kimono of hers, put on a cloak, took Akiko, and left the village. She reached the borders without being caught. However, that's as far as she got. A patrolman saw her, and raised an alarm.

Kyoka ran. She would rather die than stay there, and ahe refused to let her sister grow up in the same hell.

More and more people came out of nowhere. She ducked and weaved, her smaller size being an advantage in the dark. The glint of a blade flashed, and pain screamed across her left eye. But she couldn't stop. Not when she is the only one left to protect Akiko. So she kept running.

Eventually, she lost them in the woods. Injured and exhausted, she walked, and walked, and walked, Akiko asleep on her back. The glinting lights of a city were visible in the distance. Her vision blurred and her legs shook as she stepped closer. She reached the streets, and collapsed.

Kyoka woke up in a teahouse. The kindly owners had seen a bleeding 10 year old girl with a toddler and had taken them in. They had bandaged her eye and had fed Akiko. For now, the sisters are safe.

But her home village wasn't going to let them go easily. It wasn't even a week before a band of men came knocking. The teahouse owners lied as Kyoka took Akiko and slipped out the back door.

Years went by. Kyoka would find a place to rest. They would stay there for two weeks at the most before they were found again, and then they would have to leave and start over.

Until Kyoka was 14.

She really shouldn't have tried to move at night. She tood in between her 7 year old sister and some slobbering, ravenous creature. She thought it was a man at first, but no man acts like this! And she was tired, and bleeding, but she had to protect Akiko. As the creature lunged again, Kyoka thought she was dead.

Metal glinted, and the creature howled. Kyoka watched in horror as it's head fell from it's body, and the creature decayed into dust.

The man who had appeared is unlike anyone Kyoka had seen. Tall, extraordinary strong, with white hair and jeweled accessories. He wore a dark sleeveless top with gold buttons and matching tattsuke-hakama pants.

The man crouched down in front of the girls and smiled. He introduced himself as Tengen Uzui. That was all Kyoka heard before she passed out.

She awoke in a clinic of some sort. A woman with a butterfly clip was checking the dressing on a cut in her arm. The woman was wearing a similar uniform to... what was his name, Tengen?... and had a butterfly-pattern haori. She said her name is Shinobu Kocho. She's nice. But where's Akiko...? Kyoka falls unconscious once more.

She awakes again the next day, Akiko curled into her side. Shinobu is there again. Kyoka asks what that creature was and why it had attacked her and her sister.

She learns about demons, how they are creatures of the night who feast on human flesh. And she learns about demon slayers, who put their lives on the line and act as a bulwark between humanity and demons.

She learns that the man who saved her, Tengen, and Shinobu are what's called "Hashira," or, the strongest of the slayers. She thinks that's really cool.

Kyoka glances at Akiko, sleeping soundly next to her. She wants to protect her.

She begins her training as soon as she's healed.

For a long time, she learned Thunder Breathing from Zenitsu and from any texts she could find. But it just wasn't right. As she inched closer to final selection, she made changes here and there, until it morphed into something new. At the same time, she met someone.

Hikari hadn't been a Hashira for long, but she was more than willing to take this girl under her wing. Kyoka became her tsuguko, and she trained harder than ever before. Kyoka grew to see Hikari as an older sister, and Hikari grew to see Kyoka as one of her own. The two bonded over their love of cooking, walks down by the lake, and watching Akiko finally getting to be a carefree child.

Kyoka's breathing had changed into something new. She dubbed it Storm Breathing as a homage to it's parent, and shipped off to Final Selection.

Now, she's 16, and is currently Hinoto. She lives with Akiko in Hikari's estate, having bloomed into a powerful slayer in her own right.

Every time I swipe, I just get the same chat in different wording. No variation, no way to take the story in a different direction. Its like the bot is dead set in one storyline and there is no way to deviate through swiping.

Im imagining a breathing style that in addition to the classic katana, also involves throwing knives. I'm thinking about calling it Hail or Hailstorm Breathing. It would stem from Snow (u/Millenniauld) Breathing. Still making the forms, but i've made a model of it in action if y'all wanna see it!
