I’m in a rural area where the only isp choice I have is comcast. I’m so tired of that company. I shouldn’t have to explain as I’m sure most of you know how horrible they are to consumers. I really, really, want to get away from that company.

Starlink could possibly be a replacement service, but I have a lot of trees all around most of my house. I would probably have to use a pole or tower to get the dish up high enough, even then it still couldn’t work.

Lastly, my city has two fiber networks being installed. But they haven’t built near me.

So, my question to you all: If the stars aligned and I’m able to get the service and it’s stable, would it be worth going through all the trouble just to get away from a company? I would be paying more for Starlink. Especially with them forcing me to get the residential max plan. All I need is 200.

We recently terminated service from having the 1gig plan(not personally mine) to myself signing up for the 300mbps plan. The old 1 gig plan we had the xb8 and all of our iot devices worked fine with it. With the new 300mbps plan they sent me the xb7, which is personally fine with me. BUT there are now devices that the xb7’s WiFi network can’t reach any longer.

I’ve searched around and have found plentiful users saying that the xb8 is an option for my plan, so I was wondering if I could get an xb8 to replace the xb7 so my home network and iot devices can work again?

Firstly, I’m seeking confirmation of the closure of an old account and termination of the service on it.

Secondly, my account security/contact phone number is still attached to the closing account mentioned above. I’m hoping to change the number on it so I can use it on the new account. I’ve read it can take 10 days, but that it can be pushed through.

Lastly, I signed up to the $45/month 300 plan with autopay checking account discount. My current and upcoming bill isn’t showing the -$10 for the checking account.

Hello, I got the 1gig for $50/month for 5 years deal from a little while ago. I now realize that I’m not really needing the gig speed. I’m looking to downgrade my speed to 500 down to save any amount possible even $5 off my current promo. I’m disabled and need to save any amount possible.

I got a promotion for 1 gig service back months ago. I’ve realized I’m really wasting money paying for this speed for what I need the internet to do for me. Is there a possibility of getting a lower speed on the promo price that it was when I got my promo on my gig service?
