UK TRT: Anyone Increased Their Dose Without Telling Their Clinic?

Started TRT about 3 weeks ago and I’m currently on 120mg of testosterone cypionate per week through a UK clinic.
So far I’m happy with the slow improvements. Nothing massive yet, but I know it’s still early days.

Just wondering if anyone in the UK has ever increased their dose themselves without telling their doctor/clinic? If so, what dose were you prescribed and what did you increase it to?

Not saying I’m definitely going to do it — just thinking out loud and interested to hear other people’s experiences, especially with UK clinics and blood tests.

**EDIT**

Thank you everyone for the feedback mature responses! Ived decided to increase to 400mg pwe week, only joking:). Will the follow the advise. 😊👍

Advice Needed – Mounjaro vs Retatrutide?

I’m a 45-year-old male and I’ve been yo-yo dieting for the last 30 years. I lose weight, gain it back, then start all over again.
On 1st December 2025, I weighed 123.6 kg. Today I’m 103 kg, with my lowest weight being 99 kg.
I used Mounjaro (2.5 mg only) for the first 3 months and never increased the dose. Since stopping, I’ve continued eating around 1,800–2,000 calories a day, doing steady-state cardio and resistance training consistently.
Recently, though, I came back from a holiday and things have changed. The food noise has come back, I’m finding myself thinking about food all the time again, and I’ve started binge eating. It feels like I’ve hit a plateau both physically and mentally.
I’m now wondering whether I should:
Go back on Mounjaro, or
Try Retatrutide instead.
For those who have experience with either, what would you do in my situation? If you think I should go back on medication, how long would you stay on it? I’m trying to break this 30-year cycle rather than just lose weight again and regain it.
Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated.
