Filming Location vs Story Location

I’m rewatching Unhinged right now and I remember distinctly seeing it the first time and recognizing the New Orleans streets and even my own neighborhood but I threw it on again today and realized their trying to pretend that they’re in Los Angeles, CA. As someone who’s lived in both places long enough it’s making me giggle to see all the CA licenses plates parked outside of shotgun houses.

Have you noticed any other movie with a
noticeable discrepancy between the actual movie’s location and where it was filmed?

Advice to Prevent Job Splitting?

I (28nb) have been seeking a BPD diagnosis after many months of research and reflection. Got connected with a free mental health organization and was waiting on the call that would match me with a psychiatrist but when they called me last week they said “hey, we think your symptoms are too acute to help your here. You’ll need to complete a inpatient or IOP program, and once a doctors signs off on that you can get treatment here:”

Not great news. However I did get good news that I got a new job starting Tuesday. I assumed that I would be in therapy by the time I started this new job, but since I’m not, I’m really worried that I don’t have the necessary tools to keep me from splitting & like quitting this job impulsively. I wanted to just reach out to the community and see if anyone has method or tactics that help them prevent splitting about work or like coping mechanisms I could try. Thank you in advance!

(Idk if it matters but the job is hosting a fairly upscale restaurant in a rich GA suburb)

Wondering what is the dumbest and/or least effective policy your restaurant has enforced? I’ll go first.

I was a host at a fairly fancy restaurant located in a fine art museum, where there was no signage outside except a small placard with the resturaunt name on it and a host stand with no sign asking folks to wait. Of course with no direction people would just start to walk past me to seat themselves. Brought it up with my manager and he was like “yes it’s a problem, I would make one today but the executive director of the museum doesn’t want people to have to read when they come here.”

Me: 👁️👄👁️ wtf

Unfortunately, had the director read a bit more, the museum maybe wouldn’t have been investigated for having illegally obtained exhibits (the investigation did conclude many items were stolen and had to be returned)
