I am female who has recently begun a relationship with a pervious boyfriend. He is the father of my 14 year old son but we had not been in a relationship for 13 of those years. I own my house and have worked very hard to provide for myself and my son’s future, in that regard I wish to leave my house to my son after my death but am not sure of the legal rights my boyfriend would have. My boyfriend has his own job and had his own property which he sold last year after his divorce last year. He has moved into my home last month and we are now living together. I would be grateful for any information or insights on the rights my son has after my death versus a cohabitating partner, (we are not planning on marrying).
