PIO - Day 20 update

PIO - Day 20 update

I've settled into my routine at this point and it's sore like a glutes workout leaves me sore. It's not a bad feeling, it's not uncomfortable- I just have to move around a little more gently. I AM pregnant which is absolutely fantastic but I'm applying pragmatic optimism as I'm still only technically 5 weeks along. I'll go in for an ultrasound on August 20 and figure out next steps but it looks like I might be able to be done with PIO, estrogen and progesterone suppositories by September 14th

For anyone feeling discouraged, remember you are amazing and that this is all worth it.❤️

If this Elaine from Seinfeld sitcom, named Watching Ellie, had been successful, there would be no The Office with Steve Carrell

It lasted just one season. Basically she played her Seinfeld character and Carrell plays the charcter that would become Michael Scott. Steve is Elaine's boyfriend and is insensitive, socially awkward and a misogynist.

Both these sitcoms are on the same network, NBC. Also, Seinfeld used alot of the same actors and crew as the 80s sitcom Alf which was also on NBC. NBC kept using the same people in different sitcoms over and over for 2 decades basically.

Hooray, first PIO shot is done and it was A-OK!

I was so worried, I cried when the nurse at my clinic walked me through the instructions on Saturday. But honestly, it's completely completely fine! Iced the area with frozen veggies for seven minutes before while I put the loaded syringe in my armpit, rested my injection leg on a step stool and used the auto-injector. My husband leaves for work at 5 AM so I'll be doing at least five shots a week by myself. Truly, I couldn't even feel the needle go in and I had to poke three times because I thought the plunger wasn't working but it was, it's just slow. This has been the part of the process I was most nervous about and I'm hugely relieved now that the first one is over. 69 left to go! I made myself a little calendar and got some mini praline truffles so every morning, part of my ritual will be crossing off another day and enjoying a little chocolate reward. Works for my dogs, should work for me! 😂
