Can you do the EES stuff in advance?

We're travelling at the start of August and I'm aware this may not be known yet as it's a new thing but - we're arriving in London the day before our morning Eurostar, and it occurs ro me that it might be a good idea to pop over to STP in the evening and do all the biometric stuff so we're not faffing around with it at the same time as everyone else at what's bound to be a busy time (9am, first Monday in August).

Or is it something you have to do at the same time you actually go through immigration?

I've seen a few posts here recently asking about travelling around Switzerland by rail - where to go, what routes etc.

It reminded me of an old TV series that used to run in the UK and was great "relaxing Sunday afternoon" TV.

It was made in the mid-90s so obviously the practicalities have changed in some cases - and it's definitely dated in terms of style, presentation and production values (which were never particularly high to begin with). It also can't quite decide if it's a travel show or a nerdy railway history thing. BUT all that aside, it's got some great landscape shots and is a great intro if you're coming from a place of "well I've heard the trains in Switzerland are great but that's all I know" - or you just want to watch some lovely scenery.
