Very grateful that I was given this opportunity from God

My recently purchased 01 TRD-trip from Grand Rapids to the Smoky Mountains and all around them. My buddy and I have been staying at Windrock Park and ripping those OHV trails for the past few days. Compared to Michigan, there’s at least TRIPLE as many Tacomas down here.

Stay safe trucking out there and God bless y’all!

First gen TRD rusted frame cracked due to off-roading, welded by uncle.

UPDATE AFTER 1,000 MILES

I know the weld’s are not pretty!! I’m just here to see if this will hold, and if the truck will kill me or not. Uncle said the frame is solid enough to reinforce and weld to. All prior prep work was done and frame was down bare before welding. He’s been welding semi truck frames for a while now, it’s definitely not the prettiest, but what do Yall think? Passes the flashlight test. Other side is fully reinforced and welded too, hard to take that picture.

After a thousand miles and a shit ton of bangs with a hammer every single day, looks like she hasn’t gone anywhere, but who knows what the future may hold.

2003 TRD Tacoma intense frame rust damage

Frame is obviously very bad. What do you guys think of this quote? Cheap? Expensive? Good repair? Bad repair?
