I started building an AI app for appointment calls because I realized people really hate calling businesses

I started working on this idea after noticing a simple problem: a lot of people don’t like calling businesses just to book appointments.

At first I asked friends, family, and coworkers if they ever delay booking things because they don’t want to call, wait on hold, or explain their availability. Then I started asking on social media and Reddit too.

The feedback has been pretty clear so far: people like the idea of avoiding phone calls, but trust is the biggest concern.

So I’m building an MVP for an app that helps with simple local appointments like haircuts, salons, car service, and similar services.

How it works right now:

  1. You search for a business
  2. Choose what you need
  3. The app prepares the booking request
  4. An AI voice assistant calls the business
  5. It asks about availability and appointment details
  6. The app updates the booking status
  7. You see the result, summary, and appointment details

The hard part is not just “AI making a call.” It’s handling real-world stuff like no answer, voicemail, businesses suggesting a different time, and making sure the user still feels in control.

I’m sharing UI screenshots because I want honest feedback.

What would you need to see before trusting an app like this to call a business for you?

And what looks confusing, unnecessary, or risky?

I’m building an app that lets AI call businesses to book appointments what would make this actually useful?

I’ve been asking here about annoying appointment calls, and the feedback has been helpful.

I’m building an early app idea where you can tell an assistant what you need, like:

“Book me a haircut Friday afternoon”
or
“Find an oil change appointment tomorrow”

Then the assistant helps call or book with the business and gives you the result.

I’m trying to make sure this feels useful, not weird or unsafe.

What would you want this app to have before you would actually try it?

For example:
final confirmation before anything is booked
call summary after the call
transcript or recording
price if the business mentions it
easy cancel/reschedule
only simple appointments first

Also, what would make you not use it?
I’m looking for honest feedback, even negative feedback.

I’m building something for people who hate calling businesses to book appointments

I’ve been asking questions here about appointment booking, and the feedback has been useful.

A lot of people seem to hate calling, waiting, DMing businesses, or dealing with places that don’t have online booking.

So I’m working on a small app idea around this: an assistant that helps call or book simple appointments for you, starting with things like haircuts, salons, and car service.

I’m not trying to pitch too hard. I’m mostly looking for honest feedback.

Would this be useful to you, or would you not trust it?

Also, what would make it feel safe enough to try?

I’m curious what people usually delay booking because the process feels annoying.

Haircut, dentist, car service, salon, doctor, massage, something else?

For me, it’s usually places where I have to call, wait, or repeat details.

What appointment do you hate booking the most?
