Leaving my macbook constantly plugged.

I recently saw a video on youtube where they explained that its better to keep the macbook plugged into charge constantly if you're going to be sitting and working in one place because once the macbook reaches full charge it switches to using power from the adapter and not the battery so the battery lasts longer. how true is this? should i follow this advice/

hungarian language for students studying medicine

hello everyone! i'll be studying dentistry and since im in the medicine sphere its required for us to take hungarian classes (starting on the 25th since i'll be a first year this year) and i was wondering if anyone has actually learned the language near mastery? if so what resources did you use/how did you learn? im currently watching some youtube videos so im not completely lost in class but from the many grammar videos i've watched the only thing i know is to say my name and hello. and second of all, what is the purpose of teaching only med students hungarian and the students of other faculties? what happens if you're not able to learn it (asking out of curiosity)

Thank you in advance!

searching for a male roommate

Hey everyone!

I’m urgently looking for a male roommate to share an apartment with for the upcoming academic year while studying at the University of Debrecen!

A little bit about me: I'm tidy, respectful of personal space and study time, but definitely down to cook a meal together, explore the city, or just chill and chat when we both have downtime.

What I’m looking for:

  • Someone who is also studying at the University of Debrecen.
  • Tidy, responsible, and clean.
  • Friendly and easygoing!

If you’re still looking for a place/roommate and think we’d be a good match, I'd love to chat. Drop a comment below or feel free to send me a direct message so we can get to know each other and look at some apartment options together!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Dentistry in Sapienza (Italy) compared with Debrecen (Hungary)

Hey guys! this is my first post on this subreddit and i had a few questions. For some background, i got accepted to dentistry in debrecen starting in 2026/2027 and i want to transfer to Sapienza to start my second year 2027/2028

  1. Why are all the universities in italy so cheap? I told my parents that i want to transfer to sapienza next year and they are skeptical about why its so cheap.

  2. Is the dentistry faculty actually the best/better than debrecen in hungary if anyone has any info?

  3. How are the living costs/how much do you need minimum to survive like a normal human being per month?

  4. I want to transfer the second year so does anyone know what documents i need? also whats the process like & when should i apply for a transfer?

  5. Most importantly what are the chances of dentistry second year having free spaces? bc thats one of the requirements to transfer from second year, like is the fail rate high for first year so that second year is practically empty?

  6. Does the universities ranking actually correlate with its prestige image and education? for example debrecen is somewhere around 700-900 and sapienza is 50-100

If anyone wants to add any additional points please do. Any info specifically about the uni/dentistry in Sapienza would be highly appreciated

I do not know which country to choose for dentistry (debrecen or UCAM)

Hi guys! This year im going to study in europe and i chose dentistry as my faculty. now my question is, i have 2 choices, one from spain (from UCAM aka universidad catolica de murcia) and one from debrecen.

My uni coordinator told me that they both have the same level of "education" and it just depends on my preference so i want to know if that is true (if their education level is the same)

with spain the only positive i see is that the country is kinda good from what i've seen, the weather is good and also they require you to know the language since from the 3rd year all classes are in spanish so you get another language in your bank plus its private so better equipment. I personally dont know anyone that studies my faculty in any of these unis so i cant really tell anything

If anyone else has any other recommendations for example if you guys know of any other much better unis for dentistry (other than the uk, us and china) be my guest!

If you guys have any further questions lmk,
