People say my English in chat is “superb”… so why do I struggle so much during calls?

A friend once told me that my English in text messages sounds really good, but when it comes to calls or speaking in real time, I suddenly struggle to communicate properly.

And honestly, they’re right.

When I’m typing, I can organize my thoughts clearly and express myself well. But during calls or conversations, I start stuttering, overthinking my words, and sometimes my mind just goes blank.

It feels frustrating because I know what I want to say, but I can’t deliver it the same way I do through text.

What worries me even more is that I’m planning to apply for a company that I’ve been dreaming of getting into for a long time. I’m scared that I might fail again because in most of my past applications and interviews, I usually got rejected after the interview stage. I honestly feel like my communication skills, and somehwta my overall performance during interviews are what's holding me back.

I really want to improve because I genuinely look forward to getting into this company someday.

Has anyone else experienced this? How did you overcome it and become more confident during interviews and calls? Can anyone give me some advices?

How do I professionally say I don’t want to renew my 6-month gov’t job contract?

I applied for a 6-month government Job Order contract and got hired. I’m currently on my 5th month, and my contract will end this coming June.

From what I understand, some say that once the contract ends, it simply ends (i.e., it’s strictly for 6 months only). However, I’ve also heard from others (though not officially confirmed) that there may be a chance of renewal after the contract ends.

My concern is: if ever they offer or consider renewing my contract, how should I professionally communicate that I don’t want to continue or renew anymore?

What would be the appropriate and respectful way to inform my supervisor or HR/management about this decision without burning bridges?

This is just a shallow problem I'm having right now, or not. But I badly need your help or advices

Hello, I need some advice/s about taking a 3-day leave.

I’m currently working in a government department as a contractual employee, and I’m planning to take a 3-day vacation leave from Monday to Wednesday.

Okay lang ba if hindi na ako pumasok on Thursday, like umabsent na lang ako, considering na 4 days a week lang naman yung pasok namin (Monday to Thursday)?
