Carbon vs steel question

Why aren't there crazy overbuilt surly-type carbon bikes made to support loads of weight and take a beating? (There are downhill MTBs, but no carbon touring bike with proper load bearing eyelets on the frame - that i know of)

Does carbon fatigue? Is it the use too niche and that would make for a very expensive touring bike that is only 1kg lighter?

PCA : public comfort announcement

Dear bike commuters,

- Lube your chain every once in a while (1/month at least)

- Check you tire pressure regularly

- Get your saddle height correct

It really pains me to see people riding perfectly good bikes looking in pain with a creaky rusty chain, 15 psi in the tires and knees flaring out because their saddle is too low.

Learning a little bike of bike maintenance can get you a long way.

Où est-il possible de tester une selle avant de l'acheter ?

Aucun vélociste que j'ai vu ne permet de tester différentes selles avant de pouvoir en acheter une.
