I need a perspective check. I've been playing our army since early 10th edition with over 300 games in total. Since the data slate, I feel like our army is in a tough spot.

Our units are less useful than they were and continue to cost more. Key abilities have changed on some of our options. We're stuck on 3DP detachments or trying to combo the ritual of regen with something.

SOT's and magnus have to lift heavy and have rolls go off to be useful.It feels heavily reliant on lethal hits or a lucky dev wounds to put in damage. But we're still mainly wounding on 5's and 6's into most armies (assuming rubric phalanx no magnus and not GC)

My winrate has shifted massively since the data slate and armies I'd normally never worry about have become so much tougher. Is it just me, or is our dusty boys in a tough spot?

I've been seeing Winged Prince in a lot of lists. When I use him though he tends to flop like a fish and die. I tend to 6" deepstrike give him rerolls and he kills maybe 2 Marines with dev wounds. He rarely does much for me. What is the combo I'm missing here?
