P.s. I had to carry him against the river current when it got time to leave bc he got a little worn out & over stimulated...he did really good though and even stayed fairly calm when he saw another dog
He had his first whole shell shed and I think we have hard water where we live now ....he has lots of energy, eats well, and basks daily, sleeps nightly etc. But there are some white parts on shell that I have never seen ?
After a long period of time she showed up again, skinnier and wanted me to follow her out to the shed, thats when I saw her precious babies! 2nd or 3rd litter for the young girl. Luckily my friend adopted her and a counselor got all the kittens adopted. A week ago I was Able to see my friend and Twitch was shy at first then her eyes lowered and she flipped onto her belly, it made my day that she remembered me! Here's some first times we shared together...
But I'm wondering what the white areas are? He has never had this, but in moving im finding the water quality here to be different...maybe hard water stains or are his lights too close?

My buddy seemed a bit annoyed! Lol
He was on strike for a week after my dad brought him up to where I live now. He would eat and swim around angrily moving rocks and giving me dirty looks of disgust...last nite before bed I noticed him basking so I let him stay up late and get his little shell some love
After my Mother died in March things haven't been so easy for my family. I had my turtle in a 55 gallon long with all he needed until I moved home and couldn't bring such a large tank to their home. He's been in a 29 gallon with two filters that just do not work so well vs the waste production. I moved back to the town I prefer to live in about a month ago. Sorry to ramble but my dad is gonna bring him up to me tomorrow so I have a short amount of time to make a set up he can thrive in. I have some money saved and a truck now to haul things. Asking for good vibes as I scramble to find a set up in the next couple of days,๐ค๐๐ค๐
So I had a short relapse after my Mom's brain tumor took her life. I quickly checked myself back into detox and treatment & like a blessing from God I was able to actually bring my dog along this time! I've had him six years and we've only ever been apart during my time getting Sober. I'm so so grateful to have him here with me. I'm 17 days clean๐ค๐๐
