Hi all - recent BBB graduate here. I just wanted to say thank you to this community. People in this sub were incredibly generous with their time, transparency, and willingness to share information throughout my planning process - it made a huge difference.

While compiling pricing info for my own wedding, I ended up turning it into a larger project/database and I wanted to share it back here since this community helped my knowledge base grow.

The database has over 1000 data points across the country (mostly the coasts, sry!) and most of the information is recent (2025 - 2027/2028?) Happy to share if anyone would find helpful!

Hey all - a couple of weeks? ago I posted about compiling wedding venue pricing information while planning my own wedding, and I asked this group if anyone would be willing to share initial quotes to help build out a spreadsheet/database.

First I just want to say thank you. People in this sub were incredibly generous with their time and information and it honestly helped this project grow way faster than I expected!

The database now includes pricing for 130ish venues in NY and almost all of the data is recent - 2025 to the present. It's all crowd sourced or pricing guides from venues. I wanted to circle back and share the resource with the community since this group helped so much. I’ll drop the link in the comments.

I’m also very open to feedback on ways to make it more useful for future brides and grooms - whether that’s additional fields, better organization, budget filters etc.

My only ask: if you find it helpful, please consider contributing pricing info from venues you’ve contacted so we can keep building this into a genuinely useful resource for the next couple.

The database covers about 400 venues, mostly in the ny/nyc area (where I live), with pricing info ranging from around 2025 to 2027. If anyone's interested in the link, just comment or shoot me a DM and I'll share it with you (unsure if I can share it in the post).

My only ask: if its helpful to you, please add your own venue pricing to the database - it'll help someone else!

Not sure if this is useful to anyone, but I’ve been putting together a running database of NJ (and other states) wedding venues over the past year or so and turned it into a simple website.

It started as something I was using for myself/friends who were planning weddings and going down the same rabbit holes I was. It’s very much a side project - just venues I came across on Reddit, tiktok, etc. and whatever info I could find along the way all in one place.

If anyone has feedback, corrections, or venues I missed, I’d genuinely love to hear it, and hope it helps! I'll put the link in comments.

Hey everyone - over the past two years, you all have been super generous about sharing your venue quotes here, and I figured that info shouldn't just get buried in old threads. So I pulled it all together and built a searchable database out of it.

It's all crowd sourced from this community, so a huge thank you to everyone who's shared their quotes over the years. Hopefully this makes the research process a little easier for couples just starting out.

Mods hope this is allowed - I recently got married and still traumatized by venue shopping - I see there is a still a real need for venue pricing transparency. I got to tinkering and built thefirstlook.us - it's a free, crowd sourced database of real venue quotes so you can see actual pricing before committing to a tour. If I had access to them, I uploaded recent PDF quotes straight from the venue.

NYC listings are still thin since it's new, so if you have a venue quote sitting in your inbox, submitting takes 2 minutes and helps the next couple out.

Would love to know what you think/any tweaks you'd suggest.
