I've had a run of bad luck recently. Lost my Gran and 2 Uncles in a very short period of time. I was stuck in my head, upset and spiralling, so I booted up Sea of Thieves to try to take my mind off events.

I didn't really feel like interacting with anyone, so I sailed to the edge of the map to do Athena missions and try to get out of my own head. Whilst doing so, a 3 man Brig pulled up and stole all of my loot.

I got back to my ship to find them leaving. I thought, just my luck. Their parrot was still onboard, so I thought, there is probably someone still aboard. I searched the ship and found someone in the crows nest. I didn't attack them, we just both pulled out our instruments and started playing. They must have heard me talking to myself over my mic and asked me if I was ok? I explained the situation, as his friends returned and unloaded their cannons, sinking my ship. However, I was invited to their party and we had a good chat, even discussing losing my loved ones.

I played together for an hour and I made 2 new friends. It made me realise, that there are some really nice people in this community.

Whilst it was still a really sad day for me, that little act of kindness helped me through a tough night. Thank you, for taking the time to talk. It really did help

This Weekender seems to have introduced a new bug. When I dive, I start to drown and take damage. Sometimes my ship also disappears and when I return from beneath the water, I have to take a mermaid to my ship, which I find parked at an Outpost. This happened to me several times on Friday and Saturday. Is this a known bug? Anyone else experienced this?

I've also found the bilge rat challenges are bugged and don't complete for me. Eg the Siren boss didn't drop the key when killed and the Cannon from your ship into the tavern at Morrows Peak Outpost never popped. Wasted hours on this, even though I landed inside the tavern several times (I both spawned at, and sailed to Morrows Peak Outpost. Neither worked)

Have Rare increased the aggressiveness of skeleton ships? I've been sunk twice today, before I even boarded and twice more, whilst ashore doing a mission. Even if I don't fire and turn away from them, they chase relentlessly. Rather than patrolling an area. Megs seem to have been buffed too, specifically Redmaw. Previously I could sail across the map and do long as I gave them space, they left me alone or I could take evasive manoeuvres through rocks and around islands. Now they seem to actively stalk you, even when moored at an island.

Since the latest update I've had lots of issues with the harpoon gun and equipment weapons. Often I find mysrlf with no equipment and unable to draw or switch my weapon. The harpoon fails to detach and there's nothing I can do but quite or deliberately drown myself to spawn on the ferry. I'm also experiencing a lot more lag than usual

Just watching Stranger Things Tales from 85 animated series. So far I'm enjoying it. I can live with the alternate voices, but how do they explain the new characters not featuring or being mentioned again in the main series? I also noticed a bit of a problem. They forget it's set in 1985. In episode 6 a kid drops their brother's mobile phone into the sewer. Firstly mobile phones were massive, they were normally attached to cars or briefcase sized batteries and they were very uncommon, so it's unlikely he would lend it to his kid brother

Has anyone figured out how to successfully visit all of the legendary locations? I've visited each multiple times but it doesn't register as completed. It also failed to register me defeating a kraken at Tribute Peak. could just be glitches, so thought I'd ask if any of you guys had any success?

I finally managed to log into the game, but server stability meant I couldn't even reach my ship.

However, I did manage to check the Bilge Rat Challenges:

1. Sip grog while bathing in a ship full of water heated by a volcano.

2. Drunkenly bunk downing an Ancient Gold Fortress bed.

3. Take a ride on a harpoon rowboat attached to a Megladon.

4. Using a horn of fair winds, launch a pirate from another crew off their ship.

5. Dance with 4 other pirates while wearing a hat during a Bilge Rats Fire Works display.
