Conceal Flashing?

I about to get my house painted. Before I moved in, some wood was replaced. Can I cover the flashing at the top or conceal is some way before paint? Trying to hide the gap.

Exterior trim before paint

Before I get house painted, I decided to rip out old soffit screen (last 3 pics) and install continuous soffit vent (first pic).

How should I hide the front and back gaps once installed? Will probably be a gap on both sides.
