Dinovo edge touchpad not working.
I just acquired a dinovo edge keyboard and have the keyboard working on win11.
Except the touchpad, the pad has no effect on the mouse cursor and the left/right buttons don't do anything. Pad doesn't light up when I press it.
However, the strange left click button in the column on the left does work. Also fn - on (right click button) does illuminate the touchpad so the physical button must work.
Any ideas much appreciated, I don't want to bin it.

Any experience of portfolio selling?
Just reading about possible (likely) cgt changes.
Like many landlords, we've been drip selling a few, looking to get out over time. It's just not worth the risk and hassle anymore.
(Btw we're the sort of landlords people wish they had)
However, a huge hike in cgt is making us consider selling the lot now as a portfolio sale.
Anyone have experience of doing that?
Cue all the hate, another huge reason to sell up.

equalising capital gains tax with income tax proposal
According to the BBC, Wes Streeting has just said he wants to equalise capital gains tax with income tax.
So for a lot of people that would increase from 24 to 40%.
Would that increase the number of landlords selling quickly even further or would most not sell and wait for a change of government?
It does feel like a trap. Can't sell, can't keep...

Throttle pedal retaining clip woes
​
I'm frustrated by something as simple as a pedal throttle retaining clip.
I have two maxis, one has a clip and no nipple and seems fine but I can't see what is actually keeping it secure since if the cable passes through the clip hole then surely it can just pull back out.
The other car has a nipple but no clip and just falls out of the top of the pedal.
Since the nipple won't fit through the clip hole, I'd need to cut it but then what secures it and why didn't the previous owner cut it.
I can't get in there well enough to see what's going on, so I'd really appreciate somebody pointing out how stupid I'm being...

Just my curiosity here...
A tenant can be evicted if a close relative of the landlord wants to move in.
What's a close relative?
Assuming uncle Norice's second cousin twice removed fits the bill, how long do they have to stay there before it can be relet? Same question for direct children, assuming Norice doesn't cut it.
If somebody inherits a let property, are they bound by all the rules and timelines set on the original landlord?
(I expect so....)
Absolutely no reason for asking, I just like to explore edge cases to see if things were thought through.

We all know the gurning face and how good it feels.
My question is on the formula(s) that causes this reaction, bending X to Y over a Z.. etc.

I bought a fladen warbird LP baitcaster years ago, never used it but dug it out today.
I've always used fixed spool reels so I did some research and set the spool tension, was casting ok using my thumb but I see online that with some models you can set the centrifugal braking by moving pins. I can see no way to do this without some serious dismantling.
Also,the spool release button seems to do nothing, I expected a free running spool but nothing changes.
Do I just need to buy a better, newer model and give up on it?
