It had LITERALLY everything. The whole storytelling from start to finish was fantastic. To me it also had the best CGI work from any episode so far. Here are my top moments from this episode:

• The tension and chemistry between Butcher and Hughie.
• Homelander forcing Ryan to use his powers by pushing him off a roof.
• The Compound V reveal completely changing the world of the show.
• First demonstration of The Deep's overpowered abilities.
• The Deep's whale attack and the Boys crashing straight through it.
• The shocking reveal of Stormfront being a Nazi when she murders an innocent black family for no reason, kills Kenji, and calls him a "yellow bastard".
• The emotional tragedy of Kimiko losing her brother right after finally being reunited with him.

In Season 3, we saw how cruel and abusive Soldier Boy was toward Payback, especially Black Noir, who was left permanently scarred and brain-damaged because of him. Noir deserved a chance to confront him, even if he still would've lost.

We also know Soldier Boy was responsible for M.M.'s family tragedy. Considering how personal that feud was, I think M.M. should've taken Temp V at some point and fought Soldier Boy himself.

Both characters had stronger reasons to want revenge than almost anyone else, yet neither got a real payoff.

I just wanna say what a phenomenal job Chace Crawford has done as The Deep, and since it’s the last episode tomorrow, I think it’d be absolutely hilarious if he somehow manages to survive the whole show.

Realistically, though, I think Starlight should be the one to kill him and get her full-circle moment of revenge.

I was just rewatching Season 1, and my GOD. The acting and the chemistry between these two characters are just mind-blowing. I can’t believe how much they butchered both of their characters. This is by far my favorite scene between them. I miss them having actual emotional, intimate conversations instead of, “Look, that’s a frog eating a dick.” I miss old Starlight.
