Those of r/communism101 are Strausserites!
They are those who want socialism for their own race & their own race only. Those who want racial nationalism to dictate the terms of the worker; just like the national socialists of Germany in the 1900's!
Communism is predicated on the liberation of the workers of the WORLD!
What makes a socialist a communist or not?
From my understanding, socialism is the public/worker ownership of the means of production, while communism is a historical analysis over the modes of production throughout human history & a call to action based on that analysis (the call to action being the liberation of the workers of the world).
Therefore any socialists who do not concern themselves with such a historical analysis & the call to action associated w/ it, would not be communist.
Is this a fair understanding?
Is socialism incompatible with Native American Tribal governance & the Land Back Movement?
Looking at the Muscogee Nation, despite the public ownership over various industries (hospitality & gaming, meat packing & ranching operations, etc.), their is a common rhetoric of pushing towards private ownership (although native) over the means of production; as evident in their manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and various food industries.
Overall, as the goal of socialism is the abolition of class dynamics & the liberation of the working class, does this goal come into conflict with returning lands to potentially pro-capitalist nations?
Does Mamdani's rise to the position of NYC mayor incentivize US socialists to run for more local elections?
In other words, is there such a change in the zeitgeist as to further motivate more electoral participation by socialists?
