I am 19(mtf), I’ve reached a point where I’m no longer having doubts about being trans(yay!) and I have the perfect opportunity to get surgeries. Not necessarily for good reasons but this year has been medical hell for other reasons but what has come out of it is me being at my max out of pocket for my insurance, I still assume they won’t pay everything since it’s “cosmetic”. I haven’t had a chance to talk to my doctor about this because it’s also been extremely stressful with everything going on in this country(us). I am just not sure I’m ready necessarily, it’s a massive decision and I don’t really have anyone to talk to about it. I dream of having everything as it should be, but if I regret it there is no undo and that really scares someone like me who is already fearful of change. It would probably be at the end of the year.

I also don’t know how much longer it will be an option either. With the speed of trans hate throughout the states the time may be shortening. It’s just a lot and my cis friends have no idea how to help. Idk I just need to talk to people that actually understand ig…
