I am currently training to PR my half marathon time in the next few weeks, and noticed that in October this year there will be a marathon near me. My hesitancy in signing up is the time commitment for training, along with the unknowns of how my body will handle training and then running for that long. Risk of injury always weighs heavily on my mind as I was looking to sign up.
For those who have signed up, what has helped you with training? To help aid with recovery’s after runs or injuries, what did you turn to? Were there foods you ate/avoided while building your base?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
