Need snorunt

Hi guys
I was recently replaying brilliant diamond
I’ve just reached celestic town and I know that in the ice cave in the deep underground it’s possible to find a snorunt

But I keep finding bronzor and buneary
They have changed the spawn or something?🥹

BDSP actually my favorite switch Pokemon game!

I know the game gets a lot of hate. But this game is actually my absolute favorite on the switch. Especially because I keep having stuff to do in the game where SV feels pretty dead now.

I have a routine where i do the lottery, do some wonder trading, some grand underground shenanigans, I love to mesuda breed, challenge myself in the battle tower, farm berries and do contests. Collect ribbons, go after the shiny legendaries. Idk I feel there is always some new goal for me to work towards without having to spend all of my time in pokemon champions.

Do you guys also love bdsp for its post game?

Is there a way to make the game more challenging?

I just wanted to play a top down pokemon game on my switch and bought Brilliant Diamond, but I now struggle with how trivial every battle is becoming.
I‘m just casually exploring and battling trainers on my way without any grind but I’m already so overleveled, the core gameplay in battles has become so trivial it’s not fun anymore and I just got the third badge.

Did I do something wrong? And is there a way to not be totally overleveled?

All the solutions I can come up with aren’t really satisfying. It seems I either try to avoid playing the game by exploring less and avoid trainer battles (which is kinda pointless, because that’s what I want to do in the game) or I don’t use the mons I like, which is also not a satisfying experience.

Do you have any ideas how to get more joy out of a casual play through, or is the game just designed in a way that it’s not challenging?

Any changes to my team?

Thinking of using this team for last gym and elite 4. Frosslass just got in instead of Gengar. Any recommendations?

Battle tower advice

I keep getting stuck around the 40 wins mark. Each time I get there I get cooked by a single pokemon that whips my whole team. Please provide advice on moves/held items or even other Pokemon to use. I usually lead with Garchomp SD then clean house.

Honey Tree Shiny Hunting

I want a shiny Heracross but I cannot find any info online when the exact spawn of a honey tree is "locked". Is the pokemon set when you interact with the tree, when you boot the game after 6hrs, or when you enter that tree's zone? Can I just savescum before interacting with the tree to run the shiny lotto?

After having this game for years and never finishing it when it first came out, I beat Cynthia

After years of procrastinating to beat the game, I finally decided to replay from the beginning to finally finish it. I used to be one of the fans that thought it was a bad remake when it first came out so I never bothered to finish it. I thought it could never beat platinum as it was my favorite gen as a child. After this new playthrough I realized it’s not as bad as people say it is.

OG Pearl/Diamond was way harder

Built-in EXP Share sure helped a lot. Compared to the OG it made the game way easier

[gen8] amost 2 years hunting for my shiny/steel team on BDSP

Hardest and longest one was Riley's Riolu. Cynthia's Garchomp is borderline impossible with a steel team without healing items. Maybe I had more chance if Bronzong had levitate, but it came with heatproof :(

Had Shining Pearl for 3 years

Finally beat the elite 4 and Cynthia today. This is the longest it's taken me to beat a pokemon game and now I'm looking for legendaries. Figuring out how to catch a roaming one, but need to get a pokemon with a special ability so it doesn't run off.

The Battle Tower is pathetic

I'm absolutely fuming right now, I get to Palmer with absolutely no effort other than the time lost demolishing the first 20 battles only to be met with a Milotic lead? Every time I have come up against him he has lead with Rhyperior, why has it suddenly changed? My lead of Cloyster was utterly destroyed as a result only for Milotic to then take out Garchomp as well, and Rhyperior then OHKO'd Scizor without even seeing his Dragonite.

All my Pokémon I use in the tower have Max IVs and held items, nature's etc but how are you supposed to prepare for Palmer's team when it seems he will just lead with whatever Pokémon counters what you lead with?

Now I've got to piss away all that time doing 20 mundane battles just to get back to him.

I dont mind a challenge but it genuinely feels like it is designed to piss you off.

IVs for pokemon

So I'm basically entirely new to battling against others/battle tower stuff in new gens. I understand natures and EVs pretty well now, but I'm little confused on IVs. I know they're predetermined, but I can't see them or change them until post game right? When I looked it up, it said you can reset until you get IVs that are acceptable, but that only goes for post game pokemon and legendaries after you get the judge function at battle park correct? Just curious if there's another way to see IVs earlier. AI Google search can be very untrustworthy

E4 team

Even Yache Berry didn't save Cynyhias Garchomp, Toxicroak without Dry Skin is not very useful, had fun through all 150h
