Is the Pelikan M800 worth it?

I've been eyeing a Pelikan M800 for a while. It's listed on my preferred site for 500 €. I was wondering if its worth it to pay more for it than 380 € for an M600 or 330 € for M400.

Will it last me a lifetime considering I'll take good care of it and does it hold up to the praise?

Letter structure

Its a two letter throw that's supposed to be LR. Does the R look too much like an A and if so, what do I change?
