[FREE] Pottery Barn Sleeper Sofa & Storage Ottoman

Howdy Folx!

We just scored a new couch, so our current one needs a new home. It’s originally from Pottery Barn and is completely free to whoever wants to come grab it.

A few details:

  • Features: It has a built-in pull-out bed
  • Bonus: Comes with a matching ottoman that opens up for extra storage.
  • Condition: Structurally solid, but full disclosure: we have two toddlers, so there are currently a few spots on the fabric. The good news is that thanks to the Pottery Barn's signature performance fabric, the last time we ran an upholstery spot cleaner over it, everything came right out!
  • Logistics: You will need to bring enough hands to carry it out of the apartment. The major plus is that we are on the first floor of our co-op, so it's a straight shot right out the front doors—no carrying it down flights of stairs! Located near 8th ave and 2nd st.

LMK if you're interested or want to see some pictures!

Hey gang!

Been really happy with this Creami recipe, comes out super creamy, plenty sweet...been eating it every day. It's the only one I've made though, so I want input from folks who've branched out with different ratios.

Two questions:

  1. What would you change?
  2. How do I make it a little bit less healthy?

On the second one picture vegan ice cream as a spectrum. One end: full-fat, full-sugar, fully indulgent. Other end: diet ice cream, the kind that gets you a whole pint for ~200 cal but tastes a little airy and lean — you can feel it trying to be ice cream. I want to land in the middle. Not indulgent, but with more body and a richer mouthfeel than the diet end. Less "I'm being good," more "this is a treat that happens to fit my macros."

Kicker: I just ran the numbers on mine; 249 cal, 7.8C / 10.2F / 40P per pint. Basically the diet end. I accidentally made exactly the thing I was trying to be one notch nicer than.

Makes Two Servings (1 pint = 1 serving)

Recipe:

  • 4 cups (480ml) almond milk
  • 21 oz (595.3g) silken tofu
  • 48g soy protein isolate
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 10g monkfruit powder
  • 10g xanthan gum

Lite Ice Cream, full setting. When it finishes, add 120g almond milk and re-spin.

What would you tweak to nudge it toward the middle; more fat? Different sweetener? Less protein?
