Last night's sunset from my studio window after the rainstorm. I've been photographing this same view for almost 30 years in Williamsburg, Brooklyn- watching the light, seasons, and city continually transform. It's become an ongoing series about time and change.

These images are part of View From My Studio Window, an ongoing photographic series documenting the same view from my Williamsburg, Brooklyn studio. Since 1999, I've made more than 500 photographs from this exact location, creating a visual record of the neighborhood, the skyline, seasonal changes, and the passage of time.
This comparison shows the view in Summer 2001 and Summer 2025.

York College Photography 1 (FA381) – Summer Session 2
Need a creative elective for Summer Session 2? Want to learn how to control a camera in manual mode? Want to print images in a professional darkroom?
FA381 Photography 1 at York College is a hands-on introduction to film and digital photography.
Students learn how to develop black and white film, make darkroom prints, shoot and edit digitally, work with manual camera controls, and develop composition skills to create visually interesting photographs that express their own vision.
No supplies needed.
Each student gets:
Students can also use smartphones for digital photography projects or use their own digital camera.
Includes a few photo trips to museums and galleries in NYC.
