GitHub emailed me this morning, saying I’ve been removed from my bootcamp’s GH organization (Galvanize)

As such I literally got 76 separate emails, saying all of my GitHub repos that I forked from my bootcamp’s GitHub have been deleted. All of the people who were in my bootcamp with me said the same thing happened to them too.

I left tech at the beginning of the year, and I probably haven’t opened any of these repos since finishing my bootcamp 8 years ago. But it’s still disheartening to see all of that learning material that I worked hard to complete get flushed down the drain.

A passage from "The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts" that has always mystified me...

So a few years ago I read "The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts", which is an oral history of his life. It was quite candid and gave a good perspective of who Chris was, his highs and his lows, as well as his demons.

But this passage always stuck with me. For context, this quote is in the second to last chapter of the book, that talks about Chris's final months before his death. It was given by Lorri Bagley, his on-again/off-again girlfriend, who says Chris consciously chose not to stay sober for a specific reason, but she would not go into detail why.

I still to this day wonder what that reason is. Did he have a terminal illness? Did he feel he didn't deserve to live? What exactly was holding Chris Farley back from, well, staying alive?
