Thoughts on Matrova Yang?

Hey y’all. So I have been really wanting to jump into glass recently for a couple months. I’ve been using my desk for the past two months and I’ve LOVED IT. The speed, the stability, is unreal. But I know that this thing ain’t gonna last forever, and it’s gradually slowing down. Skate wear is a big issue as my Jade dots get fucked on this thing. I’ve looked at all of the black glasspads on the market, and every one of them has some sort of logo branded in the corner. With the exception of the GLSSWRKS Polarity, I couldn’t find anything else that would offer me a pure black slab with no distractions.

I love speed, and I want a fast experience. I mostly play Gunfire Reborn and Redliner from Roblox (yeah, fucking Roblox of all things, it’s very thrilling to play) 😂

If anyone has tried out the Yang, I’d like to know your experience with it to allow me to understand what I’m going for here 🥰

This is what my setup looks like by the way

What are the lightest, but snappiest HE switches (on release?

Note: Keyboard is Akko TAC 75 HE with stock Akko Glare switches. The keycaps are the stock caps that came with the board.

Planning to try and get new switches. Now personally the stock Akko Glare switches are really good. But I personally would love the benefit of a weightless tap and instantaneous, snappy release. What are the best HE switches for the fastest release, but lightest possible press? I’d love some recommendations 😅🙏

I also do not give a single shit about sound by the way, I don’t worry about that at all 😂

Newcomer from Firefox!

Hey there y'all! I decided to try out Helium again. And wow, I have been lovin' it lately. The memory usage is REALLY good, and not worrying about my memory not being fucked by around 1-2 GB from a single video and only 4 tabs is just so refreshing. I have used the flags to try to improve the performance even more. I also noticed that while the browser is idle:

  • CPU usage drops to 0-5%
  • RAM usage drops to 500 MB from maybe 750+ MB with one tab.

None of that happened with Chrome or Firefox or Opera GX (fuck that degenerate shit) I don't know if I will permanently make the switch, but I think this first day has been awesome for me 😄 ❤️

Fastest Switch + Keycap Combo

So I have been really looking for the lightest keycaps and switches to pair with my TAC 75 HE. I first thought of the Geon Raw HE as a general recommendation (I'll get 40gf because it matches well with my stock Akko Glare switches)

https://geon.works/products/geon-raw-he-switch

I also love the low profile feeling of a laptop. I've never tried out a low profile keyboard before, but I've wanted to find keycaps that are both low profile and have side printed legends. I did see the Chosfox MX Side Print Low Profile Keycaps Set, and I think these would be a great fit for what I'm going for.

Love to see some thoughts on going for raw physical speed over sound. I don't care if my keyboard sounds bad, as long as I have stable switches and a weightless feel when pressing the keys, that is all I want ❤️ 🙏

Removing Spacebar Stabilizers

Note: Keyboard is Akko TAC 75 HE with Akko Glare switches

Honestly, knowing that I only use a single 1u cap, the stabilizers are essentially useless here. So I removed them and it feels like every other key on the board. It also feels so much lighter and I love it 😍

I know dust and debris could get in, I’ll add tape at some point to cover it up 👍

I can’t even get started with ppl glazing tf out of the wooting 60 he v2’s split spacebar design? u could just remove the spacebar keycap and stabilizers themselves to fix it. This mod has fixed all of my spacebar issues, and it has never felt this good

Need Some Apple Dongle Upgrades

I would like to have a strong and sturdy DAC dongle that is around $20 or less. I wouldn’t mind going over budget by a little bit though. I have mostly thought of the Allegro Mini, but I personally would like to see some more recommendations and options 🤔

Current setup is Kiwi Ears Cadenza w/ Apple dongle btw 😊

Volume Slider For iOS / Mobile Version

Please make this a volume slider, I hate having to press up and down multiple times to get to the correct setting. I think this would be a great addition because F2K desktop already has a slider, so why not do it for mobile? 🤷‍♂️

Need Grippy Eartips For My Cadenza

I am currently thinking of trying out some more grippy eartips because the stock ones are still lacking a bit in staying put. I have tip rolled between mostly the small and medium, both short and wide bore (black and white stock tips) for a bit, but they are not always perfect. The bass response is fine for maybe like around 15-30 minutes, and then I would have to readjust. The left side is still slipping out, and it is driving me crazy.

I would love to get some recommendations that can provide some grip in my ear canal. Large tips never fit me well, so I am aiming for small and medium sized tips.

Using IEMs For 2 Weeks (Continuing)

So, I got the Kiwi Ears Cadenza back in Christmas last year. I didn’t like ‘em because I was struggling with trying to fit them properly. Returned to them 4-5 months later, and I finally gave them another try. I’m currently using one white tip (left) and one black tip (right). Currently, they feel amazing for the price. I honestly felt like I haven’t gained this level of immersion from any audio device before. In terms of the stock configuration, it is nearly flawless.

I’ve had some issues, such as hearing hiss when music is playing (especially w/ a low pass filter), the cable tangling a lot + being too short, and that the seal is does not feel 100% full.

I’ve come up with a plan to try an improve further, and here are the things I plan on buying to improve my OTG setup further.

Kiwi Ears AD1
Kiwi Ears Flex Tips
Tripowin Zonie or Terras x b_media collab

I’d really like to know how good this is for an OTG setup. I’m still so new to this, and I’d love to improve this to be the best on a budget of under $75-100 for now!

Add "Size All Columns To Fit" Button When Right Clicking On Columns

One thing I dislike doing every time is to drag each column individually to make sure it fits perfectly. I really enjoy the "Size All Columns To Fit" feature in the Windows File Explorer, and it is so easy and efficient. Adding this to F2K would definitely make organization so much easier and it would look amazing too!

Note: I would recommend to add it below the \"Remember layout\" button :D
