Redesign help.
Hi All! Here’s my stack. I’d love to get your ideas on how to get these diamonds all together on one platinum band so I can get an eternity band coming up for my 20th anniversary. Any help or ideas are appreciated!
Stairs!?
How did you start going downstairs?! I feel like my ROM just won’t let my bad ankle go down! Going up stairs is fine. Any suggestions?
I love our location
We eat here every Monday, know our crew by name and give them homemade cookies at Christmas. We are treated well always!
Walking unassisted!
10 weeks 4 days out from surgery. I wear a compression stocking to help. I’m really trying to stretch and not have a limp! And to be able to be barefoot!
Hysterectomy?
Hi All! New here, hoping you could help because it’s been a day.
I had 2 children via C-section in 2015 and 2018. In 2018 my dr made note of my fibroid during delivery.
Fast forward to the past year. I’m 43 my periods are now 7 days instead of the 4 days it’s been since I’m 12. And they are HEAVY now when they weren’t before. Also, so much pain on day 1-3 when there was never pain. I figure perimenopause.
I broke my ankle early this May and had surgery at the end of May. 2 days after my surgery I get my period. Except at the end of 7 days i don’t stop bleeding and this brown terrible smelling liquid (old blood) is seeping from me and what looks like tissue is in the toilet bowl. I think it’s shock and stress from the ankle and wait for my next cycle to see if it resets itself. It doesn’t so I go to the gyno. She gives me antibiotics for the smell, takes a culture and sends me for an ultrasound.
Results came back and went to see her. “There is a 4.4 x 3.1 x 5.0 cm solid mass in the lower uterine segment and upper cervix demonstrating internal vascularity on color duplex evaluation.”
She wants an endometrial biopsy, MRI and most likely a hysterectomy of only the uterus.
She says I have to do the biopsy to determine if I have to go to a regular gyno surgeon or a gyno oncologist. In my brain I get it removed and test it after, why biopsy?
Do I get a second opinion? Are there other options?
I feel…overwhelmed.
I walked today!!
I have been WBAT since 7/20 in a boot and my PT had me walk unassisted today! First time I’ve walked in 80 days. No pain, just stiffness. I cried when I walked, I was so overwhelmed that I was doing it. PT said I’m done with the boot, I am in a brace. He wants me driving next week. So much light at the end of the tunnel, it’s getting so close! Everyone’s got this!!
Here’s my timeline:
5/9 accident
5/27 tri surgery with tightrope, NWB
6/13 cast to boot, stitches removed, NWB
7/13 PWB
7/20 WBAT
7/24 1st PT
7/28 1st walking unassisted. No more boot, ankle brace and 1 crutch only.
Trimalleolar fractures - Do you say you broke your ankle or your leg?
reddit.comTightness
I was having tightness on my inner ankle and I went to my surgeon and he said you need to moisturize and massage it. So I went home and massaged with castor oil and then soaked pads and left the pads on overnight. Guys my tightness is loosening!! I freaking LOVE CASTOR OIL. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Recommendation!
Love this ice machine and compression boot! I know it’s pricey but I used my HSA funds and I think it has aided in recovery and worth every penny.
Driving?
There’s a lot of talk about walking in this group, when you’re walking, walking without the boot, walking with a brace.
What about driving? When did y’all drive? I’m 7 weeks out from surgery and just doing weight bearing in my boot. I was hoping to drive in September, reasonable?
6weeks 4 days
ROM at 6 weeks 4 days. I’m starting partial weight bearing tomorrow. I’ve had no PT, see the Dr on 7/20. I was given no specific instructions on PWB so my assumption is that I try to put weight through the ankle and if it hurts to stop.
Let me know your thoughts, suggestions
Walker type
I am cleared to partial weight bearing next week and my neighbor has offered me two different walkers; one, your normal stationary walker and the second one with wheels and a seat. Which one do you suggest to make the transition to weight-bearing?
ROM
Hi All! 1st post! I’m 4 weeks, 4 days out of tri surgery with the band. I still have 2 weeks until I am allowed to PWB and I have another check in 7/20 then I will start PT. I’m trying to work on my ROM now. How’s it looking? Anyone have any additional exercises or things I should be doing until 7/20. My Dr. just said try and move it around. Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks!
