What’s that one survivor that always seems to give you bad luck whenever you decide to play as them?

For me, it’s Acrid/Engineer. I’m not really fond of Engineers gameplay, as I think the whole “setting your turrets down with Bubble shield as you stand there with Bungus and having them do all the work” thing just isn’t for me. (And yes, I know you don’t *HAVE* to build him like that) Oh, and his primary M1 might be the worst feeling primary ever.

As for Acrid, i actually enjoy playing as this rabid Mutated Tasmanian Devil looking creature. His DoT with poison is such a fun playstyle.

As it stands, these two characters always result in me either getting really shit items for my build, or I get packed up at Stage 2-3.

It’s ALWAYS these two. Everyone else, including the DLC characters, I can play just fine, with little to no trouble getting to Mithrix/any DLC content. But the very moment i decide to play as these two and press play, it’s like the AI Director woke up and wants to make my life miserable by giving me horrible item combos, which end up being the complete opposite of what I’m aiming to do with these characters, and then I get 40 Alloy Vultures which rip me apart.

What about you guys?

This is our last chance to get in on the playtest, as the devs are planning to do one last wave before it comes out next week.

It’s not gonna be too bad if you don’t get in. But I am hoping I at least get to try it out before the game goes into EA. Good luck, brethren!

When Rogue Core comes out, do you think you’ll play it more than Deep Rock?

As someone who has played since 2023, poured 1000 hours into the game, has gotten every OC in the game, and has Classes prestiged beyond Platinum, RC will be a very welcome change of pace. I’ve been loving the Roguelike genre a lot as of late, and the idea of making a build on the fly while having to adapt to what the game provides to you on a run, while also getting better and better each time, is something that I feel will make me fall in love with this game.

So there’s a huge chance that i will be playing this game 9 times out of 10 over Deep Rock. I’ll still revisit Deep Rock for when I want to just relax, but I’ve been craving a good challenge, and Rogue Core will give me just that.

With the exception of Gabriela (since that song was actually hyped up and ended up being arguably one of their best songs they’ve ever made), anytime a song gets leaked/released, everyone is all like “This isn’t a good song, so cringe”

And then weeks later, here they are, immediately being the polar opposite, saying “Best song ever” or “listening to this 24/7”.

I know that with anything that’s released, people will have to warm up to it, and opinions change overtime. But with this, it’s the same discourse that follows, and it really shows how much toxic positivity is in K-Pop culture (And yes, I’m still categorizing them as such)

I’m fairly new to Risk of Rain, having bought it just last month and only now have unlocked all of the other characters. But i have started to wonder. Is a third entry for the RoR franchise even possible at this point?

Given that the game is almost 6 years old now, it’s natural to assume that plans for a sequel could be in the works. However, since Gearbox has acquired the rights to the game, as well as taken over development, while also continuing to develop another expansion, as mentioned earlier, others might think the game could still keep going for another few years.

Honestly, I’m all for new content. And I’m also happy that the modding community for the game is still going strong. But i wouldn’t be opposed to a third game. If they went ahead with it, where could they take it? How would they expand beyond the amazing foundation that Hopoo already laid out for the past 5 years?

If I had to take a guess, maybe the third game could introduce a Custom Survivor? It would be a significant departure from the established Survivors we all love to play as, sure. But I think if they were to do something like that, it could open the door to more player expression, where you can make your character play exactly how you want them to.

That’s just me, personally. But what about you guys?
