”Long hours did my mother and Aidas speak through the portal, neither daring to cross into the other’s world. For many days afterward, in secret, they planned.”

Because sometimes the veil between worlds feels less like a barrier...and more like a promise.

A star that’s called across worlds. A mountain that remembers. Mist that opens instead of conceals, and a shadowsinger waiting where destiny chose to land. Some bonds are never absent — only veiled: “Heart heavy for some reason she couldn’t place…”
