Raven mains, and why this character is generally misunderstood.
Why are most raven mains at intermediate ranks so bad? It’s mind boggling how reliant they are on bad gimmick moves. I think this character is fundamentally strong and generally not played to his strengths.
This mf is usually played like Ling, trying rob people with knowledge checks when his knowledge checks upon labbing , are genuinely atrocious.
The character has strong fundamental neutral tools like a homing i14 df1(minus 2 on block btw), db2, b1, qcf2, or instant ws2.
His BT unlocks some of his best moves with BT back 2(4). BT f3, or BT f1, BT b3, etc.
He has a tool for every range and every timing options, with arguably the best crouch dash that auto low parries due to the input.
In T8 they buffed his punishes so much that the 50-50 feels earned compared to T7.
If the majority of ppl just realized how good this mf is he’d be more popular. But a lot(not all) Raven mains just force the mix 24/7 with bad gimmicks and without earning the real or mental frames to do so.
This character is generally considered a party character bc the ppl plying it enforce that idea, but this character is actually disgusting
