Solution to louder fans on Turbo

Solution to louder fans on Turbo

So I recently thought my fans were louder than they used to be when plugged in on Turbo - even when Idle on Windows Desktop. Turns out I wasnt crazy. This seemed to be caused by the recent update that allowed Windows to take over from Armory Crate for Dynamic Lighting.

After I changed it so Amory Crate was the primary app (i like to use lighting to indicate CPU temps) my fan noise immediately dropped to being silent until under load.

If anyone else has noticed their fans being louder than usual, give this a try!

I have my XAX docked most days so always use the battery saver option. Made a point of turning on instant full charge the other day as I knew I’d be using it out and about for a while.

It’s supposed to turn off after 24 hours and go back into battery saver mode but 3 days later it was still on until a switched it off manually in armory crate.

Any ideas?

Anyone having this problem? As soon as AutoSR is turned on my official XBOX controller no longer works in the game.

It still works for everything else (I can open game bar etc) but within the game it can’t interact at all. The embedded controller works though.

This has happened with every game I’ve tried. I have to turn off ASR and reboot before the external controller works again.

Never bothered with it before because either the game supports FSR or if it doesn’t support FSR it’s because it’s so old that RSR isn’t needed.

Decided to have a tinker and try RSR with Tomb Raider and the FPS was worse at 900p upscale to 1080p than it was to play at native 1080p.

Has anyone found an actual use for RSR?

What are your favourite GamePass games for the XAX? I’m looking for something I can pick up and play for 30 minutes and come back to again later without needing to remember too much.

Hades has been fun so far. Darkest Dungeon is another - although not on GamePass.
