Dropping nose after 2 rhinos
Please be nice I’m already aware of how my nose looks, it’s not a suffering even if I don’t like it, don’t create that suffering 🙏🏼
I’m a 28-year-old woman who has had two rhinoplasties, one at 16, the other at 22 (I had a large nose, let’s say).
After these two operations, I find that my nose droops, particularly when I smile. I spoke to my surgeon about it two years ago. He’s quite unpleasant and claimed that my nose wasn’t drooping, before offering me a third operation (with reduced fees, as with the second), in which he would take cartilage from my ear and graft it onto the tip of my nose to “lift” the tip. I had initially scheduled the operation, but an unfortunate life event forced me to cancel it.
I’ve been thinking about it regularly since then and I want to take the plunge. So I’d like to know: have any of you had a similar result after a first operation? Do you know why? Have you had this graft operation, and if so, what was the result? More generally, and if a surgeon happens to come across this: aren’t there increased risks (of any kind) in operating on a nose for the third time? Thank you for your answers.
Edit : I also forgot to tell I can’t breathe properly during physical effort - I breath though my mouth when I run for example. One of my nostrils closes and the other one almost does.
