I'm wondering if I should return it.

So I came across this while I was browsing Home Depot today like I usually do when I I'm coming home and I got about a half an hour leftbefore closing. I just usually take a quick spin around and see what's on clearance. I came across this and bought it and figured I could always return it if it's not something I need because it was the last one I don't know if it's worth having I have a plug in soldering iron somewhere I don't use it that much because it's kind of annoying to pull out and the little metal stand thing that comes with it in the package, it doesn't sit very well, it has to sit perfectly still on it and it often falls off the holder.

But now that I'm home I'm sitting here thinking about it. And it has been like 3 years the last time I need to use a soldering iron. Oh, maybe I just wasted $25. I still got time to return it though.

What is a "free good" ??

I seen this on the Home Depot website today and I'm wondering what the hell they mean by this free good thing.

Need a favor! Vintage K5 related. Looking for a neck flange tracing/dimensions for a vintage K5SS spacer project.

First, greetings everyone. Hope everybody's doing well. And if anybody's got a K5 SS or something similar that they are taking apart or is a part or the regressing right now or can take apart. I'm working on a custom machining project for a vintage K5SS bowl-lift chassis and I need to fabricate a spacer block for the upper housing neck joint. Is anyone currently doing a full teardown or restoration on a K5SS or K5-A who would be willing to do a pencil rubbing or cardstock trace of the top neck flange of the pedestal column? I just need the outer contour and the center points for the four mounting bolts. A 1:1 scan of a paper trace or a basic dimensional sketch would help me out a ton, so I can use it before my shop time with a Hass CNC mill machine, expires next month!

So the propane side of that grill that I picked up a while back needs a lot of work and a lot of help and I had the idea of removing the propane side from it and either cutting the frame back or putting a big countertop there where I can do some cutting and working maybe get a piece of granite. But then I came across this new Char-Griller I saw somebody tossing away recently which looked like it was in really great shape so I somehow thought that I could just swap the propane side and just have two charcoal grills but unfortunately when I brought it home put it side by side I realized it was actually bigger than the grill barrel that's on my unit. To put in perspective the grill grates look about the same but there's only three of them necessary to cover the surface inside the propane and charcoal grill of the large unit and the new one I've just picked up it requires four of them. But I did notice that it has provisions where if I wanted to I could swap the smoker box from The Big unit to this one

So it looks like this grill needs a lot of work actually contemplating on just getting rid of the propane side altogether and just making it a smoker either cutting it down to the short one or replace both grill sides with a water tank from a hot water heater that I strip down and I'll cut that open and make a grill out of it and I'll switch the grills from this old one to it. Will definitely much heavier gauge steel but it's just a thought I haven't decided yet.

on the propane side it's missing one of the metal grates for grilling which is not a big deal I if I'm replacing the entire unit or cutting it down.

interesting thing is the previous owner told me he never used the propane side but it just ended up getting badly damaged anyway and it came with a cover that's not in the greatest shape but it's intact except for one of the smokestack covers is ripped the propane side and it's the one that's all rusty

Or do people here think that it would make more sense to try to salvage scavenge the parts on eBay and restore it back to its original working condition.?
