TfL’s problem with decking/not decking routes
What is TfL’s problem? I’m gonna be talking about routes in East here so yh
For some reason last year, the 499 got allocated double-deckers, going from using diesel E200 MMCs to dusty ahh E400 diesels that sound like they’re about to take off. Tbf that’s not even the point, they could be used on the 193, which I can never get on because of overcrowding on the scrawny E200s!
I am going to congratulate them for partially decking the daytime 108 and 165, because they rlly needed it. I’ve seen a 108 using an EH going through the Silvertown and over the Lower Lea Crossing to Leamouth to get back on its route through Poplar. 165 had the same problem as the 193: overcrowding.
Back to the negatives, the 325 needs to be given DELs or EEs because the SEEs are not coping in peak hours. Bearing in mind it serves the Upton Lane schools—St Bons, St Angelas, Stratford, etc.
If it weren’t for the 101 bridges on Manor Road, the 276 would have double deckers by now, maybe even BZL DDs. It is relatively frequent, but same as before: overcrowding. Maybe it could run via Plaistow, go down Upper Road, Hermit Road, and then Barking Road
