Hi! I hope I can find someone who experienced the same thing. I know that I should go to my doctor for this and not rely on the internet for advice or help. I just want to see if anyone else experienced this.

just a bit of background info: my husband and I have been trying for a baby since July 2025. We got our first positive test in January 2026. It unfortunately turned into an ectopic pregnancy with emergency surgery. The doctors also had to remove my right fallopian tube. It’s been hard but both my husband and I have been healing from this traumatic experience and decided to try again this month. I have been using LH & Pregnancy strips from Premom and they have been very helpful and trustworthy. Before the ectopic my cycLes were 32days long and my ovulation usually happens CD 17/18. After the surgery it took my body around 6-7 weeks to get a period again. I tested for ovulation and it’s been the standard of 32 days with ovulation on CD 17/18.
Except for this cycle: I started testing right after my period ended and the test never got dark. I actually thought I might have missed it or I would not ovulate this month. Until I got a dark test on CD 24. I was very surprised and also a bit worried. We did have sex that day. I still keep testing and the tests are staying super dark after ovulation, sometimes darker than the test line. Does anyone know why that’s happening? I never had this before, right after ovulation the test usually get immediately lighter.

After the surgery it took my body around 6-7 weeks to get a period again. I have to say that my period this cycles were terrible, more painful than the surgery itself. I also could feel when I was ovulating, due to pain in my hips, which I never had before. I tested for ovulation and it’s been the standard of 32 days with ovulation on CD 17/18.
Except for this cycle: I started testing right after my period (which was only 4 days compared to the usual 7 days) ended and the test never got dark. I actually thought I might have missed it or I would not ovulate this month. Until I got a dark test on CD 24. I was very surprised and also a bit worried. We did do the deed that day.
