Least overpriced US cities compared to what they’re worth and compare compared to local wages: (not in order)

 . Pittsburgh PA

. Cleveland OH

. Hampton VA

. Corpus Christi TX

. El Paso TX

. Roanoke VA (but it really depends on what neighborhood you live in)

Also, Gulfport and Long Beach Mississippi might also be on this list, but I’m not sure, housing prices are super cheap, but I’ve heard that things that’s not houses is actually expensive.BTW This is based on reasonableness , and not actually low cost of living. Some very affordable cities didn’t make it on this list because they don’t have much to offer so make a lot of sense to be cheap and aren’t really that much of a great deal because they don’t have much to offer.

Wilmington, North Carolina real estate deal rating is not as great as some people might think.

I remember when someone literally said.

” One thing I hate hearing people say is that it's expensive to live in Wilmington. I hear it all the time and it's expensive no matter where you go!! You're coming to a GROWING tourist town on the east coast.

It's actually not that bad an expensive here, some people just get jobs that don't pay well and they live above their means. I know this is random and I know people will argue, but don't argue if you come from middle of nowhere NC where rent is 800 for a 2 bed room lol don't even start “

but the thing is, you could find some cities with a similar amount to offer for a much cheaper price, and also outdoor amenities, and you could find places with more to offer(like a big city), but also the outdoor amenities for a similar price range.

Even though Wilmington NC might seem like the cost of living is reasonable compared to people from the northeast part of the United States, but if you compare to local wages, it's actually quite overpriced, Wilmington isn't that expensive but it's just too expensive for a small city.Wilmington lost its trade-off,it was it was a small city, but not a big city, but at least it was cheaper than the big cities that have a beach or mountains, but then the massive inflation came.

someone replied to that comment I talked about and said,

“NOoO...I grew up here.... been here since 1978. My parents paid $35,000 for their 3 BR, 2BA house on Navaho Trail. It was affordable until Covid, then sh!t got UNREAL! I was able to afford living alone until that time...now I require an additional income.People invading from higher wage areas and taking advantage of our lower costs caused all of this local inflation! Its so sad to think that I may have to move from where I have grown up.....all because of greed! 🤮”

That reply is reasonable, but it had been a long time ago when you could buy a three bedroom and two bathroom house for that low, before the massive inflation, it would be around $180,000-$190,000.

A car that's fuel efficient and reliable doesn't have to always be a boring color. Here are some fun color cars that are reliable and fuel efficient.

It seems like we live in a world where so many people would rather have a boring color car that is brand new and not that reliable, over a fun car with a fun color that is reliable that's much older. But I would rather have a car that is fun looking and reliable, even if it's much older, especially since you get to pay less money to get around places. Also, I personally like hatchbacks because I think they look more unique but that's just what I think. Also not all first generation Nissan versus have the garbage CVT but if you find one without the C*T it will last a long time if you maintain it well. some people might just think that all fuel efficient reliable cars are boring, but that’s not always true.

Which one of these cars do you think is the best?

(I made this post again because I forgot to mention one car)

List of cars that I am considering getting for my first car:

  • Mazda 3 ( in Lagoon blue or yellow )
  • Mitsubishi Mirage ( in green)
  • Nissan Versa ( without the CVT )(in blue)
  • Toyota RAV4 (in red or orange)
  • Subaru Crosstrek ( in orange )
  • Lexus CT (in red or blue)
  • Mazda 2 ( in green)
  • Honda fit (in orange or teel )
  • Scion XA ( in cherry color )
  • Scion XD ( in orange )
  • Toyota Will (IDK the colors)
  • Pontiac Vibe (in orange)
  • Toyota Matrix (in orange or blue)
  • Toyota Prius C (in orange)
  • Toyota Yaris ( in green or Lagoon blue)

I want the car to be fuel efficient, reliable and under $8000.
I will also make sure that any car I get is under 80,000 miles and has a history with maintenance and some people might think that I should get a Toyota Avalon, Toyota Camry, Honda Honda Accord, or Honda Civic and I know those are good cars, but I’m just not interested in them.

If you were thinking about moving to Wilmington NC , don’t.

PLEASE STOP moving to Wilmington NC.

Unless you want to make Wilmington a much larger metro area without making things more expensive and without making things too overcrowded

-It’s overpriced

-It’s overestimated and overrated

-You have to pay to go to the beach in most places which will eat your income very fast

-Wages do not keep up with the overrated and overpriced cost-of-living

-There’s not that much things to do other than going to the beach, which is a summer thing because the beach waters almost always cold, but it probably won’t bother you until you see the price tag of living here which is absurd for a city this small

-A three bedroom and two bathroom house is around $300,000 or maybe even more even though the city is a small city

. Many people might think that Wilmington is a wonderful place to move to, but that is not true it is an even worse place to retire. The main issue with Wilmington nc is that it is too overpriced for what it’s worth and it’s overestimated and there’s some cities with a similar price that’s better and some cities with a similar value for cheaper housing prices , don’t believe me? Just look at some cities that are much more urbanized and fun for a similar price range, and look at places that have a similar amount of things to offer but for a much cheaper price. There isn’t that much jobs in Wilmington and the wages are generally low and people might think that it’s worth paying a high price percent of your income because they overestimate the city . And the reason why Wilmington is overpriced is not necessarily because so many people are moving there, it’s probably because it’s overestimated, it just sounds dumb for a small city to be just as expensive as a much more urban city, like for a example , both Wilmington, North Carolina and Virginia Beach, Virginia have a similar price, but Virginia Beach is much more urbanized in the traffic isn’t too bad.

Houston has way more things to offer for a cheaper price. Tampa Has a lot more things to offer than Wilmington for a slightly cheaper price when it comes to the housing. Although Tampa does have some downsides that got worse.

And if you want to move to a city that is similar to Wilmington NC when it comes to the coast and things to offer , then Long Beach Mississippi , Brownsville Texas, Corpus Christi Texas , Hampton Virginia and possibly Pensacola Florida would be better alternatives. Also what will drain your income even more is that in most places you have to pay to go to the beach, which is crazy because the real estate is already overpriced.I was born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina and I plan on moving to a different city or I would wish to.

And the reason why people are moving to Wilmington nc is probably because either people are overrated or overestimating the city or because they think all cities with a similar value is going be just as expensive, which is not true. But I do have some good news to say about Wilmington and that is that the home prices are no longer increasing and there are more and more things coming to Wilmington.
