Which time of day for Wedding portraits?

Hello yall!

I’m not sure if this is the correct subreddit but I’m having a struggle trying to decide a time for my bridal portraits.

Our wedding is set to begin at 2:30pm in mid june and the location we want to take photos in is available for photographers between 8-10 am and 3-6pm.

I was planning on doing my own makeup but having my hair done professionally so this is where my dilemma begins.

we thought at first taking photos between 8-10 am but that would mean I would need to be up by max 4 am to do my own makeup then get my hair done and then drive to the location and if our wedding begins at 2:30pm it wont end till 11 and I think I’ll be so tired.

Alternatively we thought of pushing the wedding to begin at 5:30 (our venue is flexible) and taking photos between 3-5pm but then our problem is its going to be summer and around 87-94 degrees in the city we are from and I’m not sure I’ll survive a 2 hour photoshoot in a big dress with this weather and im not sure if the lighting will be the best at this time. Im worried the lighting will be too harsh.

So i guess my question is, should i get up so early or risk the heat??? if any summer brides want to chip in on what they did id highlyyy appreciate it.
