Car nerd wanting to get into bikes

I'm mid thirties and honestly never really liked or was into bikes my whole life. I could just about tell a Harley or a Kawasaki Ninja but other than that a bike was a bike.... until recently.

Would you believe it was my 4 year old constantly looking at motorbikes and talking about them that got me looking and now I'm seriously considering getting one.

I popped into a Triumph garage and absolutely loved the retro style of the Speed 400 and Bonnevilles. I've just heard about the new Bonneville T40 and I'm considering doing my CBT, full licence then getting one.

So firstly am I crazy to want to get this as a first bike?

Should I do more research to see if I really like riding first?

I'm fairly knowledgeable about the fundamentals of vehicles having owned MGF, MGTF, Robin Hood type cars but nothing specific to bikes.

“Headhunted” to be rejected at first stage

Help me understand this.

I had a call from a self proclaimed “headhunter“ for a programming job who saw my profile on LinkedIn. he was so eager for me to apply to a role closing that day.

As I hadn’t been searching actively I didn’t have an up to date Cv, so I gave my old CV, my LinkedIn profile export and the job spec to Claude and told it to make me a new CV. I tweaked it and sent it.

Two days later I get a rejection email from the company saying they won’t go further. Not even an intro call or single interview.

what’s the point? My CV was basically what they saw in LinkedIn and decided they wanted me so why then decide they don’t? seems just a waste of everyone’s time?

How did this guy get 2m views with 4 videos?

I've been trying to find success on YouTube for 9 years with a ton of videos and have remained mediocre.

yesterday, I found out about a guy "itsnilsstory" who has been on YouTube for 2 weeks, made 4 videos and has 2m views. His first video is currently sitting at 1.3m.

How is this possible?

Everything I've read about how to be successful seems in contrast to this channel, it's A.I thumbnails, it's long, talking head office style about a niche subject.

It's literally thrown me into a state of despair to see someone achieve something in literally days which I've been trying for so long.

So what's his secret?
