Help: 2012 Infiniti G37 Electrical - 4 Interior Fuses Dead & Car Won't Turn Off
I’m dealing with a major electrical failure on my 2012 G37 and I’m hoping for some guidance. I have water on both the driver and passenger floorboards (sunroof drain leak), and now the car is acting possessed.
The Major Issues:
• Interior Fuse Panel: All four fuses on the right side of the interior panel are not getting any power.
• Ignition Issue: The car will not turn off with the push button.
• Dash & A/C: The dash lights up but gauges are dead, and the A/C system is completely unresponsive.
• Error Code: Getting a "CAN Communication Error."
What I've Checked:
I replaced a fuse at the battery terminal, but it didn't restore power to those four interior fuses.
Questions:
1. What feeds that specific block of 4 fuses? Is there a specific relay in the IPDM (behind the battery) or a fusible link that controls the power feed to the right side of the interior kick panel?
2. Is the BCM fried? Since the passenger side is wet, could a shorted BCM be causing the communication error and preventing the car from shutting down?
3. The "Won't Turn Off" Mystery: Has anyone had their G37 stay running because of water in the kick panels? Which module is likely the culprit for the ignition signal?
