I posted the mini without any wash on the black Templar subreddit a couple days ago and the main critique was to add a dark wash to it. The first two pictures are with nuln oil and the second two are without it. Was wondering if it looked better and also just for some extra advice.

I’ve done a few D&D Minis before but this was the first mini I put a lot of effort into, as well as the first freehanding I’ve done. Just curious about some tips I could use to improve as the glow effects are pretty bad and there’s several other things I feel need improvement. Also was curious what base could look good with it.
