My OC: Ikidori Mahoto! I hope you like him

My OC: Ikidori Mahoto! I hope you like him

(Thanks to my buddy for the art cause I can’t draw 🥲)

Age: 15 (Entrance exams-> AFO incident) 16 (post AFO incident->end)
Quirk: Enchantment- Ikidori’s quirk allows him to enchant items to have unique abilities. In order to enchant an item, Ikidori needs something connected to how he wants to enchant the item (E.G. if he wants to enchant something with wind, he’ll need a wind quirk user or a strong wind). The situation in which he enchants his items also affects their potency, the more intense situation equals a stronger enchantment (E.G a light breeze= Weak wind enchantment. A storm =Strong wind enchantment). The enchantments only work when Ikidori is using them.
**Hero name:**Enchantment hero, Icarus
Personality: Very positive, sorta like a puppy with how he goes from high energy to sleeping like he’s dead, pretty smart (becomes known as 1-A’s handyman), Very nerdy, hyper-obsessive over his favourite stuff, massive foodie, very caring, clingy, likes physical contact, protective, has self-worth problems
Hero costume: a mix between Samurai and ninja but entirely scrap based (colours are a mix of purple white and classic scrap colours), his purple Fanny pack on his right hip
Backstory: Ikidori was born into a unique family. Their business was entirely based around collecting things, like broken parts of vehicles and old systems and weapons and old cars and stuff like that, and reforging and repurposing them for the modern world. His parents called it a “Revitalisation scrapyard”. And it was surprisingly successful, with them being a large exporter of modern devices, vehicles, or metal art pieces/collectibles across Japan, even getting an international order from time to time. Ikidori was taught that everything had worth if you looked at it from the right angle. But as Ikidori grew up, he found it hard to have his own worth. He only saw himself as needing other things to be useful to have worth, that he was nothing when he was by himself. So he worked hard, tried to help all the time even when he was tired or hurting. He was able to make good use of his quirk with all the stuff that came in to the scrapyard and get a good selection of scrap based equipment that he’d take into UA. He always smiles and always remains positive and he always helps others, because that’s the only way he finds real worth in himself, which is why he wants to become a hero. His father, Tsuyoi, has a quirk that lets him absorb energy and use it later (he doubles as the hero Daedalus), his mother, Chisei, has a quirk that lets her analyse objects and examine all their properties, and his brother, Kengen, has a quirk that allows him to absorb the properties of objects. The family has eight different pets: An eagle named Zeus, two ferrets Named Loki and Hermes, a dog named Anubis, a cat named Ama, a pig named Ares, a snake named Boros, and a moose named Drasil. They have gotten express permission from the government to own these pets after having rescued all of them and these animals growing attached to them.
Likes: video games, hugs, weapons, blankets, food, other people, sleeping, animals
Dislikes: Studying (he doesn’t enjoy it, he just knows he has to do it), sitting around doing nothing, being in a large crowd, food prepared badly (Boiled vegetables), himself, being sick
Blood type: O+
Favourite food: Anything Italian

Ikidori’s (main) enchanted items:
•His Fanny pack- Ikidori’s most important magic item, it’s used for storage. It’s enchanted with a high tech storage unit so its space is incredibly large and Ikidori can hold a very large variety of items in it.
•Ikidori’s sword- Enchanted while he was in the middle of an intense storm, this sword is infused with the power of wind and lightning
•Ikidori’s Shield- This shield is enchanted with a jet turbine, and is infused with the power of a flaming spin. On command, the shield can spin and emit a sparking flame that can be used for defence and offence
•Ikidori’s bow- This bow is Enchanted with parts of a missile, fireworks and eagle feathers. Therefore, the arrows it shoots become tracking projectiles that cause explosions on impact, both damaging and disorientating
•Ikidori’s Glaive- This Glaive is enchanted with the power of waves and Ikidori enchanted it in quite a vicious river rapids, finishing up any gaps in the enchants with old wave systems from water parks. Therefore, this glaive emits waves when it’s swung, resulting in powerful swings excellent for crowd control

Tell me what you think of him! From your or your OC’s perspective! (Btw, I don’t have any other art of him in case you were curious)

Need help with my Blood based magic system

Before I get on with what I need help with, I’ll provide the information I have currently.

The way the system works is that ‘mages’, as they are called within universe, are people who are born with glowing blood of a different colour. At the start, there was eight different types (nicknames for types in brackets):
•Red- Telekinesis (Psychic)
•Orange- Fire (Pyromaniac)
•Yellow- Earth (Stonehearted)
•Green- Wind (Airhead)
•Dark Blue- Water (Waverider)
•Light blue- Electricity (Thunderstruck)
•Purple- Poison (Venomous)
•White- Ice (Frostbit)
But as time went on, these eight types intermingled, making new colours with new types of magic. Eventually, somehow, people with black blood started being born. These Black-Blooded mages were called Heralds, and could use their magic to turn anything affected by it into a ‘Homunculus’, a golem that obeys their every command and gains abilities dependent on what they’re made of. Heralds are the focal point for the story.

The idea behind this is everyone is set to a specific element dependent on their blood colour, and instead of just saying “mana exists”, the blood itself is the fuel source for the magic. My only hole in the system is the casting methods. Originally, it was just “oh, they just do stuff with the element and it drains their blood”. But that felt boring and kind of like a cop-out. So I’m asking for recommendations for a casting method. Should it be done through language? Hand signs? Making blood glyphs where specific symbols mean specific things to create a desired effect? Or some mix of verbal, Somantic, material and glyphs, like dnd? Or do you think there’s something better? Some recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
