Spoilers for Viscid, and Conspiracy/overall DG lore I guess.
I'm just coming to the end of a 90s Conspiracy campaign based on reworking A Night At The Opera. The idea behind the campaign was to give my players an overall view of the basics of DG lore and what the game can do.
As part of this, reading through the lore in the Handler's Guide I was inspired by the incident where >!MAJESTIC leaders die in an incident in a secret facility!< and the Coup. I decided to make my players key actors in this.
I reworked it so Viscid is towards the end and the players meeting >!Michael Bellek/Gavin Ross!<is a core part of the mission, where he serves as a vehicle for delivering lore "explanations" that had been seeded throughout (whether he's right about everything is another question....
He asks them to retrieve the final sample from the plane crash for him, in exchange for him giving them access to Mt Weather, Virginia >!during a meeting of MAJESTIC bigwigs so they can whack them all.!<
So.
The way I see it is the first stage is infiltration, mapping out the facility, setting up the final mission, then the second stage will be >!"the hit" itself.!<This is obviously leaning a bit more into James Bond than your standard DG but I think it'll be a fun climax which will allow my now experienced players to pull out all their classic spy action/heist skills.
Any suggestions for challenges, encounters, things to make this interesting, how to set up/draw a compelling underground map or any pre-existing things/maps like this?
Any suggestions on how to make something that looks like blueprints would be good too...
