Parked at a neighbors. Fireman across the street. I want to know who owns this classic! I didn’t want to crop, they go together.

I know it’s a German wwii leather strap thing from 1944 but if it’s a large belt I can’t figure out how it fastens! It’s 48” long. I’m showing the pieces not attached! The metal piece is at the end of the strap.
