I worked as a freelance writer/editor for 20+ years, but in the past 5 years I've moved away from writing for various reasons. During this time I've kept a few clients (currently down to a single, small client) as I have upped my hours as a substitute teacher. I really enjoy working with the kids, and I'm considering offering to write a few grants for teachers I know just for the experience. If it goes well and I like it, I may consider adding that to my skill set as a freelancer. I'm wondering though...in this age of AI and dwindling clients, is grant writing a profitable skill? If so, which industries are ideal to pitch this service to?

We are going to have to replace one of our phones soon. All our lines are PayGo which I realize Tracfone is trying to move away from. Is it possible to get a new device without committing to a monthly payment these days, or will we be forced to sign up for a plan when we purchase and/or activate it? I really want to continue to just buy what we need, when we need it.

Trying to buy this plan (bc I need minutes) and the website won't let me do it. I get an error message when I select the plan. Said plan doesn't show up in the app. Chatting with an agent and they keep trying to push me to an unlimited plan. I DON'T WANT UNLIMITED because I will spend more money than I do on PayGo. Has anyone found a workaround to get the most basic plans, on an as-needed basis??

Curious to hear thoughts on the ToN's letter about energy for this year. Are you staying with ToN's aggregate program or are you opting out? What are your reasons for your choice? Thx.
