Barnes & Noble doubled the price of Hayden Panettiere’s book now that she died.

Hayden posted shortly before her death that her book was part of B&N's Book Haul and was 50% off. That was supposed to last from August 14-September 1. Now that she has died, the book is back up to full price.

Awful odor

I have been watching a very sweet dog since late last week. I have her for three more days. The issue is that she has an awful odor. AWFUL. Like, I've gotten physically ill from it. Looking back, when they arrived for the meet & greet they wanted to do it outside. Now I understand why because I didn't notice the odor during that time. I feel terrible because she is honestly the sweetest dog and I love her so much but I am losing my mind with the smell. We've got all the windows open, we're always spraying Febreze and it's just been really terrible. Obviously, even though I love her, I do not want to watch her again, but how should I address this with the owner? I don't want to offend him.

Heartbroken

All of my voicemails are gone. I had a few saved from my grandma, who died 4 years ago. One in particular that I'm heartbroken over losing was her singing me Happy Birthday. I listen to it every year. I have no idea what happened, but they are all gone.

Weird interaction

I just had a really weird interaction with my neighbor. I was walking my dog “Jack” and we ran into my neighbor “Maria” and her dog “George”. Maria said “I’m glad I ran into you, I need you to watch George tomorrow morning while I’m at my doctor appointment.” Not “can you” or “are you available” just “I need you”. I said “I actually have an appointment tomorrow.” which is true. She said “No you don’t” and insisted that I was lying. I had to pull up my calendar on my phone and show her for her to believe me.

Then she said “oh well your appointment isn’t until 11:00 so you can still watch him, I’ll pick him up at 10:30 so you’ll have time to get to your appointment.” My appointment is at 11:00 because I’m not a morning person. If I were to watch George I’d have to wake up at 7:30 to get ready (she claims she’s dropping him off at 8:15) since I’d have to leave right at 10:30 to get to my appointment on time. Keep in mind I have not actually agreed to watch George. I kept repeating “I can’t, I have an appointment” and she just completely ignored it. She claims she’ll see me tomorrow.

Edit: Someone suggested I text her to make it clear I said no. I texted "Just to be clear: I am not available to watch George tomorrow. I will not be home."

It says she read the text but so far has not responded.

I miss my dad

I wasn't sure where exactly to post this, but I figured maybe some of you can relate.

My dad died 5 years ago today. He was 61. He had a brain tumor. I miss him so much. He was my best friend. I can't believe that it has been five years. He has missed so much. I was 34 when he died, now I'm almost 40.

I don't like living in a world without him. It doesn't feel right. He should be here.

Edit: Thank you all for the support. I'm not really in a place to respond right now but I am reading all of your messages and I'll reply in the next day or so. Thank you all & sending you all love.
